I think Ive heard of him, saw something about it on MUTV yesterday that SAF has been keeping a close eye on him and is thinking of bringing him in from cardboard city FC for around 8.2,mill as cover for Rio.

All I was saying is I would rather have a proven striker in the SPL i.e stokes and riordan than what we bought in Jelavic and Beattie. Jelavic has improved but I think 4 mill is over priced in my opinion.

dont think i would have if im honest, koncheskey is used to playing in the prem, and we cant really risk waiting for salcido to get up to the pace of the prem

meireles could be a good signing, i wasnt really expecting us to get a replacement for masch as i thought the americans/rbs would keep the cash for themselves

Meireles, well im more than happy with that signing, i wasnt expecting the cash from masch to be used in this transfer window, hes a fantastic replacement for masch and means we dont have to rely on poulsen and lucas.

koncheskey, hmm, suppose hes fills up our british quota and gives us a clear first choice LB, but hes solid if nothing else

and Toivonen, theres always got to be some skepticism with dutch signings, so we just have to hope for the best if the signing does go through

i'd say koncheskey should be well ahead of the other 2 back up left backs england have, who everyone seems to bum.

you know what you get, he's not anywhere near as angry as he used to be too, hodgson has done a good job with him.

I think Ashley Cole is the best Left back we have but the rest of then, Konchesky is the next best thing we have.

aye cole is easilly the best in the world right now, he gets better and better every game the big headed cunt lol.

but them 2 back ups capello had a hard time picking between, are wank compared to the kon man, shame really. not that he'd have got in the team, but if cole got injured you want someone experianced, who plays a similar game and thats konchesky.

in other england news crewe now have 3 players in the under 17s. A GOALKEEPER is one, dunno how thats happened lol. we are famously bad with goalkeepers.

Possibly but it's still early days for Weiss at the club.It would be unfair to make judgments on how good/bad he may be for us over the season. Already he seems a bit Jekyll and Hyde though, great debut vs Hibs but his home debut, he was very greedy and was trying ambitious shots from all over the place instead of picking out a pass which would be a better option

I'm happy with Meireles, not as good as Masch, but with funds left over, is probably a good option, especially with Poulsen already being brought in as well, hopefully it means Lucas can be used in a more attacking role since that is his natural position and he looked alright going forward.

Konchesky is a solid left back, probably about as good as Aurelio and less injury prone so a good option, if he is brought in hopefully Insua goes for more transfer funds for January.

Apparently we're not going for Toivonen anymore, Hodgson said after the match that 'he isn't what the club is looking for.'

Also i've pics that are apparently on twiter that the Ghanian striker Asamoah Gyan was at Newcastle airport. I believe we are close to agreeing a £12million deal. I don't know to much about him tbh but we need a striker.

Supposedly Scharner was very close to joining you earlier in the summer but turned you down because Bruce wanted to use him at the back where as he wanted to play midfield,which he will for us I would think.

Gyan looked great at the world cup,very pacy but his finishing is a bit suspect.He missed the penalty that would have got Ghana to the semi-finals.
