You are showing complete hypocrissy here and thats what I've been trying to point out!

You claim The Premiership is the best because the clubs constantly make the latter stages of the Champiosn League yet you don't understand why England aren't one of the better International teams even though they haven't come close to winning a title in donkeys years!

You pointed out yourself how few English players were involved though! So it should have no relevance.

Exactly, so why then did you use the Champions League success as a reason why England should do well?

Right Here's what i think in one post:

The EPL and SPL cannot be compared in the same sentence sue to the uneven playing field
La Liga is more exciting to watch and boasts better players in the past and present and is therefore the better league
England have better individuals than Germany although Germany have always had the better team

I can't think of many, Torres possibly although he wasn't as highly thought of in Spain as some would have you believe, he flattered to decieve on to many occaisons, the only real obvious ones for me are Gary Lineker and Mark Hughes apart from Robinho

I don't think England do have better individuals than Germany to be honest, I think thats just a comfort blanket the media throw out there when things go pear shaped

Are Gerrard and Lampard really that much better than Ballack and Schwinstiger?

Is Klose, Podolski, Gomes and Cacau worse than Heskey, Defoe and Crouch?

I'd say Wayne Rooney Ashley Cole and possibly Joe Cole are at a higher standard than the guys they would be in direct opposition against but the rest would be a toss up

1. Because we have 4 top clubs rather than the usual 2 in Spain thus doubling the odds.

2. Real Madrid don't know how to either make a team of the best players in the world or keep a manager more than a season

3. Benitez got fecking lucky

4. Utd had a fit Ronaldo

1. They have 4 champions league spots too

2. So they aren't a well rounded enough team to compete

3. Fair play

4. Surely Messi is on par with him though? Sure he played in the semi's against Utd the year they won

1. Our 3rd and 4th place teams have for the past few years been on better quality than Spains. Most people would agree though that this year most of our 'top' teams have gone backwards.

2. Not really well rounded, just having to completely change systems for next manager and never being able to settle.

4. Messi is on a par with (and most will say above) Ronaldo now, at the time though I (and the people that give out the awards) Ronaldo was better. Ronaldo is 3 years older than Messi.

With Ronaldo, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Kaka then its hardly in question and if you look back you used the Champions League as a reason why England should do well because the league is supposedly better

Lamps and Gerrard are better than schweinsteiger and ballack. although ozil may have something to say about it

You have to remove klose and compare him with rooney as they both are first choice strikers so rooney wins that indivually

Crouch and Defoe are better than Cacau and gomez, in my opinion

Heskey - nuff said taking th piss out o Podolski muh better

I'm not comparing Klose to Rooney, I'm taking Rooney as a definite starter so its a case of who would play beside him, which would be Klose for me and Podolski

I don't rate Gomez but he scores a lot of goals and Cacau is a good player, a big game player, something Defoe has never been

Lamps and Gerrard are good players but Schweinsteiger and Ballack have been far more relieable and better Internationally than both

I would love to say the English league is superior to La Liga. Utd have been raped most summers by Real Madrid for players and I would love the tables to be turned but realistically I know it's never going to happen.

I'd not open the curtains if the bottom 10 teams in the Premiership where playing in my garden, the ball is usually black and blue after the beating it takes during a game down there

Plus jack himself has said he knows more about the Premiership than La Liga because its promoted in front of his eyes week in week out

What does that achieve if you can name overrated shite from England better than you can name overrated shite from Spain? (which isn't really overrated)

Carlos Cuellar was from the lower end of La Liga and has done very well in the Premieship, look at him he is far superior to Gary Cahill at Bolton, yet that dud is quoted in the £15m mark yet Rangers got Cuellar for £2.5m

That's a bit unfair. We have far more coverage of the Premier League being as it's our league and will easily know which players from Sunderland, Bolton and Wigan we'd pick than the likes of Malaga, Osasuna and Racing Santander

Seen some fantastic prem games this year in the bottom half, most of ours for one...

But I've seen that La Liga programme before and not much on there inspires me.
