Its always like this after a bad result though, quite a lot of people are like so. But they will let of some steam in the next few hours or over the weekend and despite what they may say now, will still be cheering England on all over again come Wednesday (is it Wednesday?)

There's a difference between being patriotic and being honest.
England tonight were shocking.

Algeria are not a good team, anyone that is any good for them ends up becoming French.
The English team has guys in it that are supposidly some of the best in Europe, guys that have won the European Champions League, that have played together for the national team now for several years, the core nucleus of that team is not young anymore and getting to know one another.
Yet they played without belief, without conviction, and like they had only introduced to one another before the match.
It was like a load of Sunday pub team players that had a fight the night before but still had to drag themselves onto the pitch with hangovers the day after.

There's meant to pride in wearing the 3 lions on their chests.

I saw no pride whatsover tonight.

I've just never felt a strong connection to the national team anyway.

I admit, I'd bum them if we won the cup and that, so yeah, I am a "national glory supporter" if that exists cos I'd follow Sunderland blindly to the depths of the Unibond Conference.

Just have no real loyalty to them, and they do nothing to convince me that I should be arsed.

If I am honest I would say I am more a national team supporter to my club team. I like going to Scotland matches and for the whole crowd and nation to be supporting the same team. For me, there is no bigger buzz in a football ground.

I like the England pub atmosphere too, but it's always a sideshow to me, and this year a particularly poor one, honestly doubt we'll get through now.
