In a pub you more often than not get pissed, when you're pissed you then make some very stupid decisions, make rash judgements then do all you can to back up your point and before you know it you bet money on stupid bets, also, most pub bets are just straight bets like for example I bet you £20 England make the semi's where as in the Bookies if you put £20 on for England to make the semi's you'd probably get more money back
