Already knows the staff, has won the title before, loves the club, has been working with the youth players for the past year so knows them as well.

As for Dalglish, I suppose that would be the sensible choice, would he be willing to take the permanent job though, he might just be happy with filling in for a while, if you know what I mean.

He has put himself forward to be the next boss.

We won't win the title straight away, but i'd trust Daglish to actually turn the side into a good side.

It took United like 20 years to rebuild their side into a title winning side, I have a feeling a similar long wait is in store for Liverpool before our side is good enough to start challenging up there again.

Media go on about Rooney playing better with Heskey. 30 goals at Man U suggests he plays better in a 4-5-1 system, with two wingers. One pass from Heskey that a five year old could have made and he has justified his place in the team.

Green is a good keeper but no doubt he'll get the Scott Carson treatment and be dropped, Hart and James are better though. Barry needs to play the holding role so Gerrard and Lampard can just attack without having to think about defending. Joe Cole needs to play to give some more creativity.

Also, why the fuck is SWP playing? He shouldn't even be in the team. Capello said he'd pick the form players, SWP didn't get in the Man City team the last three months due to Adam Johnsons form yet the shit midget still goes to the World Cup.

Watching Slovinia now is like watching a shit(er) version of England, no forward drive, no creativity and no one commanding the midfield.

England should have no trouble against either Algeria or Slovenia from what I've seen today. Should get a few goals in both games.

i tohught at the start Crouch should have started with Rooney and tbh my opinion hasn't changed if we still play 442, it's all well and good saying Heskey puts Rooney through more or something but when your a striker and cannot put away the chance Heskey had when 1 on 1 with the keeper, also look at Heskey's scoring record hasn't scored since February and wasn't playing games at the end of the season.

I think we should be playing 451, Cole and Lennon as wingers, Barry DM, Lamps and Gerrard CM's,

We need more pace at CB and i think Dawson may be the only one to offer that. Carragher reads the game well but gets caught by pace, on another day his body block may have been seen differently, King doesn't look like he will last the length of the game in any game so thats a sub taken away at the start.

Hart should have been starting in goal anyway, he has had by far the best season and experience shouldn't matter.

i agree with 4-5-1 with gerrard am and playing the heskey role but coming back more often however against algeria and slovenia u dont need 5 mids but for later stages i agree 4-5-1

Formation crack is overrated, if we can't just pass the ball patiently and create space we might as well fuck off now.

Plus Slovenia winning was a very bad result, they'll be looking to get a draw from us now and the USA will probably beat Algeria.
