| Tony Mowbray has a big connection with Celtic though, not only because he is a former player and what happened to him while at the club, Celtic where the first team in Britain to do a huddle before kick-off every game and it was Mowbray that started it during a pre season tour in 1994 so he is etched in the history for that alone | |

How come your gutted about Bruce going to Sunderland Mat? Meant gutted for Disco lol. Yeah, apparently it was their Breaking news,Only according to their source though. Brummie Mail says he isn't in talks but no smoke without fire. - Quote :
- Sky Sources understand Tony Mowbray is in talks with Celtic about becoming the new manager of the SPL club.
The Hoops are in the market for a new boss following Gordon Strachan's departure last month.
Burnley head coach Owen Coyle had been linked with the vacant role but the Premier League-bound coach has since played down the speculation.
West Bromwich Albion manager Mowbray has remained linked with the position at Parkhead and it is understood he is now holding discussions with the side.
Mowbray, whose Baggies side were relegated to the Championship last season, played for Celtic for four years.
A statement from West Brom read: "We have not received any official approach from Celtic regarding Tony Mowbray." Counter claim: - Quote :
- West Bromwich Albion were today insisting that no approach has been made for manager Tony Mowbray.
TV reports are claiming that the manager is holding talks with Celtic officials.
Those follow initial claims, reported in Scotland that the Baggies chief was discussing terms with the Parkhead club.
But Hawthorns staff have completely denied those claims and say they have not heard from Celtic.

So that's his fault then? Every lower division and non-league team I've seen Exeter play do one of those huddles, the most pointless thing in football. They annoy the hell out of me, especially when the crowd claps when the huddle breaks. They didn't do anything good, they stopped fucking huddling! Christ! I think I need a lie-down.

I think I need a lie-down. I like it Grec, its one last chance to fire the players and the fans up, more so for a big game, watch the opposition, they are all standing around not got a clue what to do, psychological advantage right away, maybe its just because we where the first, but I like it. But Yeah, blame big Mogga, the story goes, in 1994 he married his Fiance, she had Breat Cancer and died later on that year, anyway Mowbray took it bad obviously but his team mates and the fans helped him through it, on his first game back in Pre Season 94 he was given the captains armband for that particular game, he got all the lads together when they ran on the pitch and basically thanked them all for their support and told them he appreciated everything, the players liked it, the fans seemed to love it and since then it became a tradition

So was I As for Bruce taking the Sunderland job, could be a good signing for them, but seems like a bit of a step backwards for him.

| Kind of, but not.
He can definitely take us further than he could with Wigan though and they aren't really much better than us in terms of player for player.

| He had a good solid time at Wigan, proved himself to be a decent manager IMO, although yes, Sunderland had a poor season last year, with a bit of money too spend and a solid manager to 'drive' them foward i recon there gonna be in for a good year next season | |

Don't even kid about that BUM He said Wim Jansen told him he'll be the man, Celtic have called it bullshit, Wim Jansen has called it bullshit, I just think big Tony is back on the sauce and is sharing a cell in the Priory with Susan Boyle and he just thinks its Wim Jansen

| Steve Bruce turned Wigan into a right good mid table side, much better than the team he took over, with the potential Sunderland have and the money available to them then he could make that step up, its hard seeing Sunderland much higher up than mid table though, with the top four being almost untouchable and Villa, Everton, Man City and Spurs about then its always going to be hard to break that top 8 | |
