Ancelotti appointed Chelsea boss
Former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has been appointed Chelsea manager on a three-year deal.
The Italian left the Rossoneri on Sunday after guiding them to a third-place finish in Serie A.
He replaces Russian international coach Guus Hiddink who ended his stint at Stamford Bridge by clinching the FA Cup over the weekend.
"Carlo was the outstanding candidate for the job," read a statement on the Chelsea website.
More details and full reaction to follow.

| Alot of Chelsea fans seem to be uncertain about this but im not sure why, probably because they are still hoping Hiddnk was gonna stay
Im pleased with this, obviously a good manager and reasonbly young aswell at 49
3 CL Finals in 8 years
Beckham states that he was the best manager he ever worked under - including SAF
And he actually speaks pretty good English

| I'm still not convinced most Chelsea managers aren't given much of a chance. Hopefully he'll do well but the squad needs some younger players. | |

| Couple of names ive seen that he's interested in
Sergio Aguero Xabi Alonso Frank Ribiery Pirlo Kaka Adebayor
Quite a few possible team sheets could come from that list, and supposdly Zhirkov is a done deal, i cant see Kaka or Alonso coming, Pirlo would be a good addition but he's getting on a bit
Idealy id like to see the following squad
Goalkeepers
Cech Assman Hilario
Defenders
Terry Cole Bosingwa Alex Ivanovic Mancienne
Def/Mid
Zhirkov
Midfield
Essien Mikel Lampard Ballack Joe Cole
Attacking mid
Ribery Malouda
Strikers
Drogba Aguero Anelka
In
Assman - undisc Zhrikov - 18 mil Ribery - 40/45 mil Aguero - 50 mil according to reports - perosnally think he could be signed for around 35
Out
Carvalho - 6mil Paulo Ferreira - 1.5mil Deco - 4 mil Kalou - 10 mil

| I'd like to see Aguero come in he's a fantastic player but also Karim Benzema a striker for Lyon would be a great additon although he has a £50m price tag i think. | |

| David Villa would be a better shout for around 25 million - which today is a proper proper bargain | |

| It really gets on my nerves that people are comparing him to Scolari. There is massive differences, the biggest one is Scolari was an international manager, he hadn't proved himself at a club, Ancelotti has been one of the most successful managers in Europe. | |

| im not sure tbh, ancelotti did rely on the oldies in his time at milan, and with ballack signing a new contract, i can see the likes of deco and ferreira staying | |

| That's always been Milan's way though, always liked the Grandad's.
The likes of Maldini, Weah, Fiori were all there before Ancelotti came in. Always seemed to have favoured the old boys.
