| Maybe not under Moyes but I'm sure Van Gaal could/would persuade them otherwise | |

| they should get Schniederlin. Even though he said he wants to leave to get Champions league football. A bigger contract and a club like United, a chance like that would be tempting for him. They could do with Westwood to shadow and replace Carrick as well. Although it would be very unlikely anyone is looking at Villa players, despite them being a bargain compared to Southampton's. Trade young back to them as well | |

Can't see Villa doing much business until they're sold. lambert's apparently been told to use the whole squad this season, so Darren Bent, Alan Hutton and N'Zogbia might actually play next season.

| Sexton when I've seen that westwood play he hasn't looked as good as you suggest he is, or is he pretty decent and I've only seen him when he's had a bad day at the office. | |

| he's in a terrible team who no longer keep possession, they counter attack. He doesn't have pace or the defensive power to play that way. Like Carrick. In his first year at Villa they passed and he had 92% passing for the season. He get's assists and hockey assists, if that makes sense to you. In hockey the two passes that lead to the goal count as assists, in other words he assists most of Villas assists from what I've seen. And for us you could tell he had brilliat passing range, and more defensive qualities than our recent good players. When I've watched Villa games and on motd, I watch him off the ball and he's never marked and he constantly directs where everyone passes to as he's aware of the bigger picture. I don't doubt that he'd settle at a higher level. Obviously there are weaknesses that come with passing so much and always wanting the ball, but mistakes don't cause him to hide. A quality England have lacked for years. I'm not saying he'd be ready for England, but he's in a much more advanced position to do well at a big club as an eventual first teamer than a largely unproven player like ward prowse, will hughes etc. Like Schniderlin, you don't have to be 19 to make an impact, if you have spent time in the leagues first, you bring a great work ethic on top of being well coached and talented. Those guys have spent 7 years passing and passing and passing, being composed, all while being kicked by talentless hoof it opposition. A much longer answer than I thought i'd do. | |

| he is. In a deep midfield role anyway, well spotted macks.
As good an excuse as any to watch Powell in an advanced role https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQltgtqU8Lo&ctp=CBEQpDAYBSITCKuw1aCIw74CFYXHGAodtlYAmlILbmljayBwb3dlbGw%3D&gl=GB&hl=en&client=mv-google&guid=

It's like someone once told him to just put the ball in the net from anywhere and he obliged.

| Sunderland have signed right back billy jones on a free and jordi Gomez on a free. Two decent signings. This summer we need quantity to replace all the players who have left and returning loanees.
We were after Martin Kelly from Liverpool. Liverpool want to sell. Sunderland want to loan him. I don't understand why we don't just buy players. We scrape through each season with loan players then start again from scratch the next.

| Liverpool are in talks with Rickie Lambert, fee of £4 million. Seems a bit of an odd signing.
Might also be worth putting money on Southampton to drop. Their better players seems to be going, Pochettino gone - 9/1 when I checked a minute ago on Skybet.

| I think it's a good move. Lambert is English. They'll need English players for the champions league squad. I've also heard Southampton are in trouble financially. 4m for a 32 year old ain't bad. Also lambert is a Liverpool fan and will now play champions league football. Granted he won't be 1st choice striker but Suarez and Sturbridge like a few months off a year between then through injury. | |

| Do you need a minimum quota of national players for the Champions league then? I'd have thought with Gerrard, Sturridge, Henderson, Flanaghan, Johnson and others who I can't remember they'd be okay for that - unlike Chelsea who don't have many at all. (as an Exeter fan, I barely take any notice of the Champions League until we get there). | |

| Yeah I think so, clubs need a minimum of 8 premier league squad members who have come through an english academy and for the champions league that has to include four from their own academy.

| do Man City need to meet that with a 22 man squad? Usually teams stick some unused kids to meet the quota. | |

| we've tied up all 7 scholars we offered deals to, including Callum Saunders who had other clubs sniffing. I'm not saying they're all ready and everything is smooth for next season, but we'll either go down or get into the playoffs with the shock factor. I'd just risk as many kids as we can in the team and hope their winning mentality transfers to the season, like when teams get promoted and then do well with momentum. Most of our young players are like family and friends, having been together since age 6 or 7. Prepare for a boom or bust year. We're 28/1 to go up and favourites to go down | |

It's nice we have actuallyade bids for these type of players rather than rumours

| Fuck knows who we're going to sign, Shaw is close but a lack of a manager at Southampton is holding things up. Knowing our luck and looking back at what happened last season, someone else comes in a gets him. Apparently Shaw is keen on a move to us. | |
