| And Vidal has come out and said he's not going to Manchester. Looks like it's the end of that but we never know. | |

| Serious now though, apparently they do want Jay Rodruigez and could be the reason why the Remy deal was pulled, thought they'd have been fine for English quota for champs league so don't think it can be that | |

| has a team ever sold it's whole first 11 before? The owners will be swimming in money.
In Crewe and Juve news.Paul Pogba will probably stay at Juve because his brother has moved to Italy. The way Steve Davis said profit about 14 thousand times suggests we did quite well, considering we got Mathias from non league. He's also said we will now look for someone better. A good striker is key in any league and we need a pure goalscorer now.

| Maybe Porto and Monaco when they were in the Champions League final a while back, most big teams bought up both clubs best players and Monaco never really recovered until 1/2 years back when they were bought out.
I guess the only decent thing that's come from southampton is that they've got a decent manager in Ronald Koeman and not someone who's gonna piss the money up on shite.

His medical was showing that he never played with Southampton.

| Max clayton now having a trial at wolves. Don't know why we just don't pay the money. Arguments with mates saying get them in on loan and if they are shite then we haven't lost any money. But look at last season, alonso, borini an ki were al good. Now they don't want to come and are waiting for bigger offers or Sunderland are not bidding enough.
Look at Everton, been skint for 10years then they pull out 28m for Lukaku. I bet we couldn't even sign Carlton cole!

| Could be worse, Macks - Exeter have got a guy called Graham Cummins on trial. He spent last season at Rochdale, and netted a whole 4 goals in 31 games, giving him a strike-rate of 1 in 8. Although shite, is better than three of our strikers from last year, but worse than one of our centre-backs...
And we still can't offer a contract until the embargo is lifted.

| so far we've signed Scott Shearer, Chris Atkinson and today Marcus Haber. (ex Exeter loanee?) plus the 7 academy lads. George Cooper, the youngest of those, signing a year early and has been given the 11 shirt! Saunders is number 14.
Fuck your greg dyke league, just encourage more clubs to promote the kids into pro games without inventing new leagues.

| Marcus Haber... Christ, there's a name from the past! I think we had him for about a month, in our first season in League 1 in 2009/10. Played a few times, didn't score, nobody seemed to think he was either awful or a potential Messi - he was just there, running around on the pitch. | |

| have had a read up and he's a target man, but if we are playing 4-3-3 we need someone to distract the defenders so the two out wide can cause havock. That said, unless our improved team spirit carries us though to 90 mins more often, it's going to be a tough season.
Molyneux seems to have got his head right and is exciting with his attacking play though, and Audel has featured pre season in defence. Hopefully they will be like new signings considering they got sent out on loan last season. And the kids will be hit or miss, hopefully they surprise a few.
Davis says that he will only build a team of players who will pull in the same direction, after last seasons nightmare start. You get the feeling it's a happy dressing room now, but very, very inexperienced.

| For 6m, its not a bad price. He's English for starters. Normally you add on 8m because he's English. Also its a 5 year deal and he is still only 23. | |

| On Staurday Gus Poyet said it would be a good week transfer wise with at least 4 signings. His 1st one isn't so bad imo. | |

| Aye, Rodwell's a decent player. Problem is that he's never developed properly as a player because whenever he starts playing well and regularly, he seems to get injured. | |

| It is a risk but one worth taking. The £10m reported is including add-ons. The original fee is just over £6.5m. For the 5 year contract That's just over £1m a year.
Also rumoured fabio borini has agreed a 5 year deal as well. Not to fussed on this as he's mucked is about a bit waiting for a better move.
So we could unveil Rodwell and Borini together
Vergini (on loan second half last season) is going to sign for another year on loan - simply because he is owned by more than one club.
Michael Dawson from spurs rumours gathering pace.
A striker is still needed.

| I never rated Rodwell when he was with us. He had small glimpses of brilliance but like you've said he gets injured all the time. He was sort of in the "crabby mode" where every pass was sideways or backwards and it was frustrating to watch.
A lot of my friends rate him highly however so he could potentially be a good signing

| Rodwell signing confirmed. I do think the jury is still put but at 23 he has time to fulfil his potential.
I think of he plays well in the 1st two years of his contract he'll be sold on at a canny big profit.
Also Samuel Eto'o rumours still doing the rounds. We can't afford his right shinpad!

| According to the manager of the Chilean national squad, the reason why the Vidal transfer to Manchester United is holding up is because of LVG's doubts over the players knee and whether or not it's improving or not at all. | |
