Transfer Rumour Thread

As the football season finishes it seems like everyone is linked to anywhere for the next 10 weeks. I thought that we could discuss these rumours, and it has started already.

A couple I've heard already is Lee Cattermole is a 12m target for Liverpool and we are linked with Peter Crouch again.

I dont think tottenham will let Crouch go they seem to really like him for some reason lol

Anyway, sounds like Villa could be in for a bit of rebuilding, with Ashley Young and Downing both linked with Liverpool, and Young with Man Yoo, Chelski and Spurs.

Messi to Scarborough

Well Liverpool seemed to be linked with everybody, I doubt we'll get Young, he'll probably go to United. Not too sure on Downing, I think he can be a decent player, but there is always a niggling doubt that he can do it on a consistent basis.

I don't want Lee Cattermole, there would be no reason to sign him. In fact I can't understand why we're being linked with centre midfielders at all, it's probably the least position in need of any improvement.

I'd like to see us bring in two wingers, a good left back and a decent centre back.

Spurs aparantly will offer Steven Caulker on loan for another season if they can get first option on Nicky Maynard.

Caulker currently recovering from an injury and won't be fit till late July/early August and Spurs dont want to throw Caulker straight into premier league football so will let him drop down to the championship again.

This being said because Maynard still hasn't signed a new contract but rumours are it will be sorted one way or the other when he returns from holiday but nothing had been sorted for a month before hand.

Rumors that we are winning the race to sign Ashley Young.

Because you can never have too many mediocre players in your squad.

The Young to United rumour is a strong one so I think he's coming. Isn't he a right footed left winger? Need someone who's naturally left footed for the left.

I hope we get Sneijder but that looks increasingly doubtful as the days goes on.

Nigel Reo-Coker on a free is and Craig Bellemy are the latest to come to SoL.

He's been charged with rape, but i heard they got dropped, then they never got dropped, fuck knows what the deal is.

Apparently, wenger is letting him go as he feels he wont get into the Arsenal 1st team this season, but thinks he needs to leave now to get 1st team football, £1.5M thanking you very much, Bargain.

For Everton it looks like we're going into the free market.

Apparently Boothroyd from Cardiff is nearly a done deal (paper talk) and Miroslav Klose was shown around the training ground but there is no chance they would be able to afford his wages as it sound to me he is looking for a cash in in the Premiership for the last years of his career.

Joey Barton is another player we have been linked with and he has acknowledged it on his twitter but I dont think anybody associated with out club wants him.
