| Would utd really let oshea go? I can see brown and gibson leaving but o shea is the best bit part man going and utd have always found use for that type of player
I cant imagine rafael getting the right back gig all on his own with no oshea there and if united then bought a top class right back it would halt the progress of rafael as top right backs dont miss many games

What are your thoughts Mackem, would you prefer Crouch over Gyan? At this moment in time yes as Crouch can score goals in this league. Gyan I think is still not there yet. For the future - i'd keep Gyan and build round him if he improves.

| the question really would be crouch and ngog or gyan and ngog wouldnt it?
a change of styles to a 4-4-2 with crouch and n gog with the option of crouch being a lone striker away, or the 4-3-3 with gyan and ngog and one other winger/striker which can also be the 4-5-1 away but not as defensive

I try to stay away from the paper talk to be honest and I havnt heard anything on Everton websites recently about him. I doubt United will go for Rodwell now after they have signed Phil Jones who can play in both positions that Rodwell can.

I honestly cant see us getting Crouch either. We still need another two strikers plus N'gog and Gyan.

- SUNDERLAND are today in talks with exciting South Korean striker Ji Dong-Won, and are also believed to have made a £9m bid for Ipswich star Connor Wickham.
At only 20 years old, a height of 6ft 1ins, and a growing reputation as a regular goalscorer, Dong-Won has all the attributes manager Steve Bruce is looking to add to his squad.
He has scored nine times in 32 appearances for K-League side Chunnam Dragons and six goals in 11 games for his country.
He would not only bring youth and energy to the Sunderland squad but a physical presence and, hopefully, goals.
Dong-Won scored for South Korea in their recent game against Ghana – a match in which Asamoah Gyan also found the back of the net – and is rated as one of the best young prospects in Asia.
There is still some way to go on finalising a deal, with the Black Cats negotiating on several fronts for new strikers. They have also been given permission to talk to Liverpool’s David Ngog over a possible £3m move.
Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli confirmed the 22-year-old could soon be on his way to the North East.
“Sunderland have had a strong interest in David, so we’ve agreed to let him speak to Sunderland about his future to see if he’s interested in going there,” he said.
“They’ve expressed a strong interest, so we’ll see what’s next for him.”
Bruce, meanwhile, has long been an admirer of Ipswich prodigy Wickham and though most in East Anglia believe that the 18-year-old striker is destined to leave for one of the Premier League giants, Sunderland would love to take him.
Bruce had a bid knocked back last year but will happily try again for a player he rates as the outstanding young player of his generation.
The Sunderland boss still has an interest in Spurs striker Peter Crouch. Reports today suggest that Tottenham boss might be willing to let Crouch move, if he can get Asamoah Gyan to move in the other direction.
Sunderland were interested in both Crouch and fellow Spurs forward Roman Pavlyuchenko but the Russian international will not move to the North East and Bruce will now focus his attention on the Londoners’ 6ft 7ins striker.
Bruce has a long-term interest in Crouch and tried to sign him for Sunderland when he first arrived as manager at the Stadium of Light two seasons ago. He did not succeed then but will hope to have better luck with the 30-year-old this summer.

I can see you getting both Gibson and Brown, but like Sexton said, I don't think United would let O'shea go. I think they would let Evans go before O'shea, especially if the Jones deal goes through. Brown is a definite gonner though.

| Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke ready to break bank so club can keep Samir Nasri.
Bolton will replace the similarly Arsenal-bound Gary Cahill with the Gunners' 18-year-old Spanish prodigy Ignasi Miquel.
Blackburn are planning to replace Jones, or indeed Chris Samba — for whom Arsenal will lodge an improved £10m offer any day now — with Birmingham's Roger Johnson.
Liverpool's desire to hoover up the best English talent at any price leading them to the door of Southampton's £10m-rated Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

| I think Nolan going to West Ham opened the door for Demba Ba to go to Newcastle. Scott Brown has turned down Newcastle and according to Joey Bartons twitter he said that himself, Jonas and Jose enrique are next out of Newcastle.
On the plus side, Sunderland still haven't been rumoured with Bruce's boy Emile Heskey!

| I think Parker will go to Tottenham, as I think they'll sell Modric.
As for Barton, I'd say a club like Everton would probably go for him if he is available. I wonder if he'll play in Scotland?
