| I thought it was a really enjoyable iMPACT! last night. With a good build up of stories, leading towards Slammiversary (and beyond). And it seemed to be centered aroud Mr Anderson, which paid off, IMO. The opening promo with Hardy had some funny parts, and Jeff actually done a decent job on the mic too. And with the interuption by Stylin' & Profilin', it set up the show pretty well. Hogan talking to Anderson and saying he see's a $ sign, and Anderson saying he will change, was pretty interesting. No one can trust Anderson and I like where he's going at the minute. Anderson's match with 'The Phenomenal One' was a real good match, and I liked the way AJ won aswell. Which leaves more to come between these two, in the future? Matt Morgan, with that epic promo, probably would've stole the show any other week. I thought Morgan was awesome. And the way he looked like he genuinely didn't care, or know, who Kurt Angle was, was superb. Calling probably the greatest wrestler in the World today, a "little bald guy", "kid" and "son" takes some bottle and plenty of arrogance, and Morgan has it in abundence. The guy is a monster aswell, who can go in the ring. I've always thought he was pretty good on the mic, and he really showed it this week. I was in stitches during that, fantastic job from Morgan. The Abyss and Orlando Jordan match, again showed Jordan's vicious side. I think TNA are trying to get across, he's not just some camp fairy, and it's working IMO. Desmond Wolfe seems to be adding new layers to his character each week aswell. He comes out and jumps Abyss (not a real suprise there), but he showed no concern for Chelsea at all, I don't think he did anyway? He's really growing into this chauvinistic prick, who just wants to cause damage to his opponents, and doesn't care about anything else. And he plays it to perfection. His match with Jeff Hardy was a good watch, and there looks to be plenty of potential in a Wolfe/Hardy feud. And it was huge for Wolfe to pick up a win over Jeff Hardy. Grabbing the 'loaded' sock from his trunks, to crack Hardy over the head for the win, is just another side to this guy. I was cracking up at Taz's commentary with that little dude, during The Beautiful Peoples entrance. I thought Taz was (intentionally this time) pretty funny all night. But did Taz say "That's fucked up", after talking about that midget show? I could've sworn he did. Even playing it back, it sounds like he did? Don't know what happened at the start of the Kazarian/Lethal match. It was RVD talking backstage? Anyway I would like to see a rivalry between Kaz and Lethal, cause they could put on some pretty good matches together. With AJ coming out for the save and then arguing with Kazarian, and Flair backing up Kaz again (as in the earlier promo). It seems that Flair is pretty high on Kaz (kayfabe), and it looks like he will take him under his wing. It also looks as though AJ could be in the process of leaving Stylin' & Profilin' and turning face, to me. Hopefully it will be dragged out and last a few months, if that is the case. Could a Team 3D split be on the cards? I really hope not. I like the idea of Brother Ray and Jesse Neal, one on one. Ray can turn into a great heel, at the drop of a hat, and Jesse is fast becoming pretty popular. So this could make Jesse Neal. I'm not sure where this leaves Shannon Moore though? And who attacked him? Initial thoughts are obviously Brother Ray, but I can't remember his ever being associated with playing cards? I know Orlando Jordan has been recently, but that doesn't make sense. It's always great to see Hall & Nash, and even though they didn't get in the ring, it just demonstrates further what type of blokes they are. I also noticed Hall didn't take the Tag Belt off, hiding his belly The only dissapointment would be that the RVD/Sting Title match wasn't really built that much. This feud has the potential to be huge, maybe not an awesome match, but an epic story. The back drop to this is enormous and it was hardly focused on. It's massive, the fact that these two have never met each other. And it should be hyped to the max, IMO. Other than that though, I thought it was a real top iMPACT! What are your thoughts on iMPACT!? | |

| RVD vs Sting hasn't been done, mainly because this is the first time they've worked together, but its not something I've every truly wanted to see, that being said, both of them are big names in Pro Wrestling so I'd have rather they held this off and give it a longer build to the next PPV, I don't feel they have given it the hype or storyline i deserves.
I'm saying its never been done, although RVD won on his debut in what was basically a squash match with Sting but as a real match and a real feud, I think this could get a months serious build easily!
I'd rather have seen a face vs face feud here between RVD and Hardy over the title with the winner facing Sting, it would have set Sting up and would have allowed more time to develop the feud between Sting and RVD

| I think they (creative) have only just realised one of their biggest PPVs of the year, is just around the corner. And they've panicked by just putting a huge match together as the main event. Like you said, Sting and RVD met on Van Dam's debut (so it does have a slight back story), but that hadn't really been played on since.
It's just a real shame they can't market it as 'The Face of ECW against the Face of WCW'. Although that may not seem the best idea, due to this being TNA - but neither of those companies are rivals.

| Fianlly watched iMPACT!. A good show I thought.
I thought Taz said 'fucked up' as well. Morgan on the mic was awesome, and you're right, it sounded like he didn't know who Angle was! At the moment Samoa Joe is 'just there'. I'm not sure they know where to go with him. I also think the same with Morgan - even though there is a bit of a storyline with the 'we're looking for a tag team'. Perhaps it will lead to Joe / Morgan partnership (i hope not).
Orlando Jordan is getting better everytime I see him. A good match for him this week with Abyss. It looks like Abyss will face Desmond Wolfe at Slammiversary. Orlando v Rob Terry also.
Mr Anderson - love him or hate him, you can't help but watch him. Him siding with Jeff Hardy is a good move - but I think he'll turn on him. For a fued that was meant to be The Pope v Anderson (i assume that was the ase) has turned out to be a good part of TNA with Hardy instead of Pope.
RVD v Sting. I agree with Gaffer, they should of made it for another PPV and give it time to build. Two huge names in the business and it seems like they are rushing it.

| I agree that it was a good Impact, but i'm not feeling the whole RVD vs Sting fued considering that when RVD first joined TNA he beat Sting rather quickly, so Sting losing at the PPV would be pointless and RVD losing would ruin his title run and also his huge push that he's got as of late.
I'm more intrested in the whole Mr Anderson and Jeff Hardy storyline, which i'm guessing will result in them two teaming up at Slammiversary against Beer Money and I wouldn't be supprised if Anderson turns on Hardy.
Also nice to see the Psycho Dwarf back on TNA, even if it was to plug some other program.

| thats a bit picky isnt it worthy? Its not pointless at all. People get too hung up on booking. It will probably end in a dq anyway wont it lol. I have to say too, people moaning about anderson face turn about the world but he has been very entertaining, best promo guy about at the minute i'd say, because its not something thats done often. think he really has been showing a new direction of wrestling characters, he can target smarks, marks and whatever else their is, casual watchers. May aswell address the fact people are a bit more clued up and alot more 'opinionated' these days. | |

| On the whole I have really enjoyed the Hogan/Bischoff era so far. Yes, there are times when I have groaned at the booking or at certain wrestlers getting pushes at the expense of better talent but the 2 hours really fly by when I'm watching Impact so I guess thats a pretty good thing. Of course on PPV the action in ring has also been on the whole very good. TNA is just a lot fresher in comparison to the stale WWE | |

I never thought about a DQ ending, but seriously I don't see what either Sting or RVD has to gain from this as they are both big names. I agree with you on the whole Anderson storyline as thats the best thing going in TNA right now.

| That's exactly the point Worthy, neither needs to gain anything, and neither will lose anything no matter the result, but both are big names, so people are going to watch it. | |

| Just finished watching iMPACT last night, I thought it was a very steady show which created and extended fueds towards Slamiversary.
Matt Morgan, as I have stated in other TNA related articles, has the potential to be huge in TNA. His current angle is good but not great, I think it would be better if he actually got to back up his egotistical nature by beating fellow main eventers and getting into the top ten.
Anderson and Hardy suprised me. I dont really like Jeff on the mic but I think Anderson is one of the best. It is easy to see that Jeff has improved on the mic, because in WWE I couldnt stand listening to him. I will be interested to see where this goes, although I hope Anderson turns on Hardy or something he does accidently makes Beer Money win.
Looks like Angles first opponent will be Joe after their face off in the ring. Angle says that we will see some of the greatest matches ever. I believe this. There are 6/7 people that he can put on a fantastic match with and I am looking forward to seeing them.
