| Lots to choose from for all sorts of reasons
Undertaker? HBK? Cena?? Bret Hart? Hogan? The Rock? Mick Foley? Eric Bishoff? Stone Cold? Sting? HHH?
The list could go on and on, i think the obvious person to choose would be Vince Mcmahon, but besides him who would you say has had the biggest impact on wrestling and for what reason?
Foley - for the holy shit moments, the hardcore title etc HBK - one of the best ever performers, involved in the montreal screwjob Stone Cold - made the attitude era what it was
etc | |

| hogan-made wrestling into sports entertainment
stone-cold for the attitude era
cena-strange one but he is the vocal point of the entertainment era
bischoff and the nwo- without them wwe would not have gone for a more edgy a approach
but at the end of the day without vince none of these would have been able to do ehat they have done

| Undertaker. The king of Hell in a Cell matches. The highlight with him throwing Mankind off thetop is nuts. Plus his gimmick was one of the coolest ever. He was a bad ass plain and simple. Good times. | |

| Hulk Hogan
Vince McMahon could not have made the WWF the success that it was. Nobody else could have been the poster-boy and standard-bearer for the company Vince wanted to build. The All-American Superhero, Hulk Hogan, was the perfect character for Vince to take the WWF national. He was a positive role-model for the kids and always fought the good fight, which appealed to older fans.

| Vince Russo has made the worst impression i think Weve proved by doing the roleplay that writing for a wrestling "company" does take thought but isnt that hard He just isnt a very good writer and i think that because he got lucky and landed himself a good job in WWE/ WCW, TNA have thought that he is good when in truth he has ruined many of their story lines that showed promise |

That's good booking. This is from Wiki, bare with me lol... - Quote :
- During this period Russo managed to take the rating from a 2.9 and bring it up to a 3.5, although during Russo's tenure, Nitro was reduced from three hours to two hours, losing significant ad revenue and skewing the ratings. As soon as Russo left, the ratings went back down to a 2.4 and he stated that he was not able to bring those fans back because they kept changing the channel so many times. Three months later, Sullivan was ultimately relieved of his duties and Russo was reinstated as booker, after a three month absence, alongside Eric Bischoff, who had just returned to WCW as well (as a creative director). The idea was that Russo and Bischoff would reboot WCW into a more modern, streamlined company that would reward the younger talent instead of holding them down. Their strategy soon imploded, as Bischoff and Russo frequently locked horns.
If he can drop an hour of a show, and still improve rating's by, what? 600,000 veiwer's? hat's a good booker. People give him stick for not really seeing 'Sport's Entertainment' as a traditional wrestling show, but (IMO) he see's it more of what it really should be, a TV programme first and foremost. Plus who dont like his (random object) on a pole matches?

| MaFish, I don't think WCW toppled the WWF after Russo went there, WCW indeed did beat WWF for a long time but after the WWF eventually won the ratings war and Russo went to WCW they never regained the ratings lead, although there ratings did improve drastically in his tenure with the company | |

The attitude era had already arrived, if you watch anything now and they talk about the screw job one thing remains intact, Vince was actively looking to get involved as the big boss who everyone wanted to hate, this provided a perfect opportunity but if it didnt happen at Survivor Series then it would have happened at the Rumble or even at Mania, it would only have delayed the inevitable, Hart coudl very well be there, I don't consider him to be as big or as valuable a commodity to the company as a Rock or an Austin and certainly not a Hogan (obviously not speaking about Wrestling skill)

| What about Andre?
He was around before Hogan and was the first to help wrestling to become a lot more of a show than a sport. Admittedly, Hogan took it further but he didn't start the movement. Andre was huge in the 70's, by far the biggest (most famous) wrestler ever at that point. He brought it into mainstream attention and it's arguably Andre who kept the business going through that point. He also lost to Hogan which was massive in helping Hogan's career. Without Andre, nobody would have cared about wrestling in the 80's when it became a full-blown entertainment thing.

| I think Andre is a good shout but I think in the grand scheme of things Andre can be overlooked, he was well known to plain out refuse to job to guys and it hurt the company badly, admittedly though in doing that it did help Hogan no end when he jobbed to Hogan and also let him slam him.
I think Roddy Piper was better for Hogan than Andre was though, by the point WrestleMania 3 came along Hogan was one of the biggest names on the planet

| The main reason I think Andre should be considered is just that was the first to bring wrestling out of it's usual place (i.e. normal people). I think he really popularised it before anyone else did and created the platform WWWF built on with the likes of Hogan. the only thing is though, Andre never really did any of this stuff intentionally, he just liked wrestling but people were interested in him. He never actively set out to change wrestling, people came to Andre but even so, it was still his doing.
I don't actually know who has made the biggest impact really, there's too much shit to consider, I'm just chucking about some candidates lol.
