Awful day. That was never a penalty but after that we fell apart and they pick us apart. Blackett did well up until sending off, letting Evra and Ferdinand go in one summer was an awful awful decision. Evans injured today so probably next week might be Rojo and Smalling at centre-half and Shaw if he's fit at left back.

Not a fan of this diamond I wish we'd play with wingers again. Blind, Herrera and Di Maria did well. Rooney wasteful except for pass to Di Maria for second goal and even then he under-hit it. Couple moves broke down when he over-hit passes, in particular his long ones. RVP did ok first half good goal but faded after 2nd.

I think we need a bit more steel in midfield, a bit of physicality, Chelsea and City best teams in the league have strong physical centre mids, it's what we need too. We have all the attacking prowess in the world just need to toughen up at the back.

It's ur defence that is weak. Attacking wise you will be fine. Just expect cricket scores every game. At least you won't be last on match of the day any more.

Letting Ferdinand go was the right decision I thing. The mistake was vidic. Ferdinand bought nothing to the team in te last 2 years. If fergie and moyes face smalling and jones a good run of games they would probably be England's centre back pairing. Neither are right backs.

Unlike Blackett. Very promising - a tad unlucky today. The red card was down to inexperience.

I know, but the thing is, too many times today we were shrugged off the ball, even though they were fouls we need a bit more physicality in the team. You can blame Moyes for Vidic going, he accepted a contract with Inter Milan back in January. They have all the potential in the world but they keep getting injured. Jones has a habit of picking up silly injuries.

I think were played at right back for different reasons. Either Rafael was injured/suspended, or we played a team that were going to put their big strikers up against Rafael and aim long balls at him.

I've been impressed with Blackett in the games that he's started. Will hopefully become a top class defender for us someday.

I don't know, but I don't think it was many passes between them. I think it has to be one or the other. Falcao is picking up fitness so hopefully he picks up a few goals next week against West Ham which will be a tough game, no problem breaking them down we just have to worry about them breaking us down. with long balls and repeated crosses.

Overall, the signs are there, we are improving, our football is much better than it was last year, just need our defenders back to full fitness and for them to get games together.

The thing is though Jack the defenders you were after world class defenders that wouldn't of left their club eg hummels. Vermaelen would of been a good signing. I don't know why you didn't go for someone like Ryan Shawcross. I believe you have first refusal on him. He has a lot of premier league experience and is solid enough. Better than Evans and smalling IMO.

Yeah Vermaelen would of been a good signing but Arsenal didn't want to sell unless we put Smalling/Jones in the deal and we weren't interested in doing that. I don't think Hummels wanted to leave Dortmund at all. Maybe now that we sold Shinji Kagawa back to them maybe that could grease the wheels so to speak and maybe we can sign him next year.

We were unlucky last night. The team battled well and give their all. Didn't think the pens were going to end.

Our superkid Matt Grimes is off to Swansea, for a reported fee of 1.75 million. That kind of money could be utterly life-saving for us. He's the best player I've ever seen in a City shirt, and one I really hope goes on to play for the full England side.

1 defeat in the last 18, 12 wins and 5 draws but we're playing some awful stuff, with the players we've got, we should be playing better football. 3rd in the league so can't complain. I hope the performances improve next season when we hopefully have champions league football.

So Adam Johnson has (alledgedly) been a naughty boy with an underage girl. Has he been playing for you this season, Macks?

In and out of the team. Injured a few weeks back but with the Derby game coming up he normally comes good.

Regarding the underage girl. Who knows. The interesting point in all this is he had a gun in his house, a loaded one. Now he lives inCounty Durham (probably the nicest part of the area, randy will agree) so I don't understand why he would need a gun unless A) the little girls dad has a date with his knee caps, or B) drugs.

If it was just the suspicion of sex with an underage girl then you could say innocent intil proven guilty and the girl wants her 15mins of fame. But he had a loaded gun ( by the way he has a license for the gun).

He's been released on bail pending ongoing investigations.
