| Decent opening point for my lot, considering our manager registered himself as a player due to a bug sweeping the camp. | |

| Fleetwood. Buy an expensive striker, out for the season, loan a premier league striker, injured at 0-0 bring on Proctor, assist within 30 seconds of Crewe hitting their bar a minute into the second half, then he scored a 30 yard goal too. Luck and finances feels like the real winner for them. We missed one penalty, scored another. 2-1 loss. Football is definitely back. How can such a small club afford so many players within the rules? | |

Donations is the simple answer. In short, if a club has cash donated to them as a gift so it's not counted as part of the clubs turnover or debt, it's exempt from financial fair play. It's created to benefit clubs with rich billionaire chairmen.

| there isn't much room left for the nice guys of English football. Positives would be Billy Waters was very good overall, so unlucky to hit the bar after turning the defence inside out. And Inman had the left back in his pocket. I think we'll deserve more points than we actually get this season. | |

| Good start for us, put down a marker for the rest of the league by beating favourites Sheffield Utd in their back yard on sky. Wilbraham showed his worth and why he's forced JET to settle for a place on the bench for now. Brilliant assist to set up Wade Elliott for the winner (they must hate Elliott up there, also scored the goal that sent Burnley to the premier league at Wembley).
We look in a really good position to have a go this season, tbh the squad we have if we don't have loads of long term injuries if we don't get top 6 Cotterill will have failed and I think he knows there is some pressure to succeed this season with JET and Baldock's contracts up at the end of the season. Apprently for Baldock we've said if we're not in the hunt come January we will let him leave, however if we are then there is a chance he could sign an extension so if we get promoted he will stay.

| sounds like you'll be getting 6 points off us Hodge.
Who has everyone got in the cup tonight? We have Barnsley.
If we lose then we'll have a new left back for saturday's league fixture, vs Barnsley too, and hopefully two new attacking players. Left back is Greg Leigh from Man City academy.

| I can't believe he's left. After how good Palace where at the end of the season I don't think anyone in the right mind would have put money on him to be gone before the season has even kicked off.
Who are people tipping to be the first sacking of the season? My money is Pochetinno

Stunning result, but not the massive shock people will make out it is. Not exactly a first choice 11!

| I think Man Utd would do better with Steve Davis and Crewe better with Van Gaal.
Saying that, we have had no luck at all. Choosing to let Ellis go so George Ray could develop was a ballsy move, but when Harry Davis got injured, it meant using Dugdale who isn't really a first team quality CB in this league. He wears his heart on his sleeve and would block a cannon ball if he had to, but 90mins again and again doesn't suit him, especially with a kid in partnership, a good kid, but still a kid.
We seemed to do well in the cup again (potential that Davis is a cup manager) but Bolton are through anyway. Can only hope we keep the form, but improve the result in the league.
