Money In The Bank WrestleMania Match Postponed? and NXT Mentor Change

-- While nothing is official, it appears the Money in the Bank ladder match is off the card for WrestleMania this year. There was talk just last week about starting the qualifying matches on RAW this coming week. As of Thursday, none of the talent had been told anything. That shows you how quickly things in WWE. The belief is that with the new Money in the Bank pay-per-view coming in a few months, the match at WrestleMania will be postponed until then. We hope to have more by Monday evening prior to RAW. It should be noted that this has upset many WWE wrestlers because it is a big payday to be on the WrestleMania card for at least 6 to 8 guys that may not get a shot now.

-- William Regal is set to replace MVP as the mentor for Skip Sheffield on WWE NXT. With MVP and Skip set as faces, and Regal being a heel, it is not currently known if another pairing will change as well.

I don't think giving MITB it's own ppv is a good move by WWE, having 6-8 guys who were on the rise a chance to perform on the biggest show of the year was the best part of it now are we going to see Shelton, Christian, R-Truth or Kane at this years Mania?

If they don't do MITB at Mania, I reckon they'll have 4 fatal 4-ways for the US and IC titles, and probably shove a few new tag teams together.

IC - Drew McIntyre vs Matt Hardy vs Kane vs John Morrison?

Christian takes the IC title at Mania?

Edge WHC and Christian IC champ?

I read a report that a few guys were pretty unhappy with this decision as WrestleMania is a big pay day and now 6-8 guys wont get the chance to be on the WrestleMania card. Unless as stated above, they replace MITB with another multi man gimmick match.

I think it could work, provided WWE kept the main event talent out of it. Either do 8 qualifying matches at the start of the PPV, with the winners progressing to the main match to close the show. I'd like it if they limited it to guys who have never been a world champ, and use it as a platform for someone to really push on to main event level.

or, as is more likely to happen, the qualifying matches will be on Raw and Smackdown, and the MITB match closes the show.

I can't see why they couldn't do one at Mania too, give the winner 6 months to cash in rather than a year, and if he hasn't, he has to defend the briefcase at the MITB PPV?

Bad move by the WWE, I for one always look forward to MITB and its always at least the second best match of the night, so to base a whole PPV around it will bring down some of the lower down the card guys because surely to sell a ppv they need main event caliber guys in the main event, so if the main event of this MITB ppv is going to be main even guys then how are they going to elevate new guys to the point that they could at Mania whilst still having the main event guys in the main event of Mania. This is all a bit jumbled up but basically what im saying is WWE need to use MITB in the middle of Mania because it can elevate a new guy up like it did for Edge, RVD and Punk so I just hope that if they do this MITB ppv that they dont have main event people the likes of Cena, Batista and orton because they are already there and if you base a whole ppv around this concept they are going to need these main event people which will just continue to keep the mid card guys down and so WWE will still have no new stars which is their main problem

There will still likely be the world title matches and everything but there will just be a MITB match at the PPV.

I preferred MITB to stay at mania to be honest, it adds a hell of a lot to the biggest show of the year, and without it mania becomes just another random WWE PPV.

Total fucking laziness from the WWE again.
