The Retuern Of Juniors Review\'s : Raw 24/25 May 2009

So i had a late one last night so i decided to stay up and watch RAW. Must of been the first live wrestling well at least since 2008 for me. I was hoping id fall back in love with late night wrestling.

First thing i was greeted by was a memroial day package..fair enough...but its a wwe "special"....first signs of worry then.

After the titels had rolled i was greeted this time by a bad cheap diss of Arsenal Owner Stan Kronke , predictable, boring and unfunny..OH! how things havent chnaged.The only thing i will say is why would Kronke have so little confidence in his own team as to hire out the venue around playoff time.goon. However this unfunny impersonation skit was as painfull to watch as well wwe others unfunny impersonation skits ..Obama v hillary anyone. Also the guy playing Kronke couldnt act for shit seriously i enjoy drama and acting and this guy is as bottom of the barell as they come with every facial expresiion he pulled just looking like he wanted to laugh.tit.

Learn from youre mistakes WWE! CHEAP CUSS....FAILED! yet sadly the american "wwe universe" :/ lapped it up so we might see more of it :@.

so within just minutes my low expectations are lowerd. Rememberance day special looked as if it would be rememberd for all the wrong reasons.

The Miz lifted the mood a bit , its clear to see that this guy has come leaps and bounds with the microphone i mean look at him originally as what was it a smackdown interviewer? know though he can create heat within a instant. However the constant american sport refrences and american celeb refrences did annoy me throught this programme do they not care for the international audience. Oh and the segment ended with batista cena legacy show blah blah notice how tista wobbeld?. So we were aloud to see Miz's mick skills then make him look weak physically YAY!

Kelly Kelly comes to the ring followed by maryssssse ..MMMMMMMM...............oh and then theres some wrestling or something. Do you knwo what? i was going to slag this match off in detail but its not even worth it are you still even reading this?proablly not porn tits fanny.
So poor divas match and the cena and batista show i began to ask myself is this a repeat?

Hornswoogle and dusat try to be funny.the end.

Flair and batista chat shit in changing rooms.HANG ON!!!!!! use of ledgends to try and get people intresetd in shite storys and stale charcaters.

Us title gets some well needed coverage even gets a contenders match a triple threat this is more like it!.sounds promosing and it was all in all.Hardy v Regal V The Kofster. A ending i was unable to predict the finish too. I see a MVP heel turn on the horizion. A good match the minimum what should be from this point on wards...it wasnt..

Orton and flair speak shit YAWNNNN this is so chris jericho. However flair is a good actor. Oh batista saves flair from orton and gets to look the hero . But wait Kennedy comes out and anouces his retuern will this save the show from the batista bum bashing session. Well hes retuerning in the ridiculous gimmick match so ...well no.

Ahhh santino surley the marella mister can savour something?..for me yes... as the mixed tag match was well as good as it can be considering its ne of the worst match ideas ever. Im sorry i know you guys will disagree(like youre still reading this) but i still find Santino funny and would proablly make me laugh more if it wasnt 3 am in the morning.

Oh show tells miz DONT PIN cena . Noones told show have they? Cenas God no one pins him DUH!!!

A midget and a old man cross dressing beat one of wwe most up coming superstars....least said about this the better.

Corr they didnt half milk this basketball main event gimmick see the entrances......blimey gimmicking anything they can get WWE .....How is tna? . To be fiar the atcuall wrestling of the main event was "ok" considering who was in it

Monday Night Raw seems to be getting worse every week, while Smackdown is getting better and better Raw is going completly down hill. Now I understand that they wanted to have a couple of cheap jokes at Stan Kroenke but I thought it would be a couple of sly references, not a show pretty much devoted to it, nearly every match or promo had something to do with it.

The main event was rubbish, Jerry 'The King' Lawler should stay away from the ring, Mr. Kennedy was average at best, John Cena and MVP were both pretty good but nothing spectacular and Batista was...Batista. On the other team, they were a little better but nothing really special. The basketball shirts were stupid as well.

Now I thought there was some hope for this story with The Brian Kendrick, I thought that at least his partners could make the job, but he is being buried by Goldust and Hornswoggle it really is pathetic, way to kill a good wrestler and character WWE.

Santino Marrella isn't that funny any more, it's like they've just run out of material for him, the pig thing was not even that funny the first time. And the fact that Vickie Guerrero vs. Santina Marrella can even be deemed pay per view standard is a joke!

Hopefully this will bring some prestige back to the US Championship, it seems stupid however that a match with two heels in it to go up against a face, is then won by a face. Hopefully Regal will interupt the match next week and we wil see a Triple Threat or Fatal Fourway with MVP/Kingston/Regal/(Matt).

Overall I would give the show 0.5/5. Worst Raw that I have ever seen.

I havn't watch Raw in about a month. I just read the spoilers to keep up with what's happening.That raw sounds completly shit and Santina vs Vickie at extreme rules is this some sort of joke that match shouldn't be shown at all let alone at a ppv at least smackdown is brilliant or there wouldn't be any reason to watch wrestling.

Have to say it doesn't sound good having the GM of your biggest show fecking around in throway joke matches.

Vince has lost it, now its damage limitation with RAW, gimmick's, returns, face/heel turns, expect it all to happen in the next 6-8 weeks because their is no plan or at least thats the way it looks, and when that happens they will clutch at straws, hopefully the ratings keep dropping

Cant be assed to watch anymore, only got through the first 10 mionutes of RAW and almost died of bordom, may pick it up again around summerslam but i've just lost all interest

Smackdown on the other hand i'll continue to watch

I'm just bored of WWE altogether now, instead of enjoying the shows, I have to spend time which could be used in more productive ways, getting through shows that are identical to the week before. It doesn't help when the RAW main event happens twice in successive PPV's which are only 2 weeks apart!

I'm just sick of seeing superstars being made out to look like crap one week, then act like Superman the next. I'm sick of seeing tag matches or singles matches which always end with interference end the show.

As for RAW, when Kelly Kelly is in one of the best matches of the night and the "funniest" segment consists of calling a impersonation of a businessman I have never heard of "Enis", that is when you know Vince has hit a new low.

In other words, "TNA, TNA, TNA, TNA!"

Go from corny to the utterly ridiculous, don't panic, in about 5 years TNA will be doing the same thing....

More crap from the supposed flagship show. It doesnt help when the crap I have to watch is accompanied by Michael Coles voice, but thats for another time.

Apart from Miz, there has been no good promos by anybody for months, the matches are poor, and the storylines are boring.

The only interesting thing this week other than The Miz (even that wasnt so great this week, with all the basketball references), was the US title #1 contenders match.

The Colons / Kendrick storyline is boring me already.

Why did the commentators not rip on Kelly for attacking Maryse from behind. When Jericho did that to Punk on Superstars, they ripped him. Jericho is right, the "WWE Universe" are a bunch of hypocrites.

I don't really care about RAW now anyway, most of the guys I like best are not on their so what they get up to is pointless to me, until HBK comes back RAW will suck

As long as smackdown stays good i don't really care how much vince ruins Raw. The current storyline wwe title storyline is the exact same as the one building up to Backlash and the one building up to Judgement Day, Legacy are made to look weak then Batista has a match wiyh Orton 6 days before the ppv.

Loosing jericho killed RAW - without the Miz, HBK and MVP it would be 6 foot under

it is without hbk as is smackdown without taker but they have depth to deal with it.

To most people, SmackDown is the better show and in actuality, it probably is but I just find iMPACT the most entertaining show at the moment. They have good characters, interesting stories and for me, the right mix of wrestling and segments.

It was aimed at you but not about you, the Corny was RAW and the Ridiculous is the very crap iMPACT!

18 minutes of wrestling on a two hour show when the Womans match is the longest is not the right mix in my opinion, the stories on it are piss poor, tell me though, the Sacrifice main event, did you get it? I thought their was a new champ, I didn't feel they where very clear in that

I haven't seen this week's iMPACT yet although I have read on other sites the result of the Sacrifice main event. I did get the basic idea, if you are pinned, you sacrifice something but I also thought whoever made the pin on any of the other 3 men did receive the title like everyone else thought. They weren't very clear but in hindsight, I can see that Foley's sacrifice was the TNA title and as he didn't get pinned, he didn't "sacrifice" the title.

As for TNA's stories, I have to disagree with you, I now understand the whole story behind the MEM and Jeff Jarret/The Frontline and it has so much depth to it and intrigue IMO, most of the other stories do leave a lot to be desired I agree. The Orton vs Batista/McMahons/Flair story also has some depth to it but I find the MEM angle more interesting.

While it is refreshing for SmackDown not to have a dominant story such as the MEM and Orton stories, I still find iMPACT the more entertaining show for the 1st time in a very long time.

this was the first raw ive watched live since the draft, and the first thought that came into my mind cantained the words epic, fail and fucking, none of the denver bollocks was funny for me (but i can see why the LA fans lapped it up) and the payoff of the first segment was a push, cmon, you could have done a whole lot better than that, hell even bringing back boogeyman for a one time appearance would have made that better.

i was tired by this point, and the rest of the show was just pointless, didnt enjoy it and i wished i was watching smackdown at this point

The LA Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets as well lol.

Good, I want the Nuggets to win, have absolutely no interest what so ever on Basketball however if they lose then RAW will go all B ball crazy and try and rub it in ruining yet another week of RAW

Good point, the entrances for the main event last night were over-dramatic even by pro wrestling standards!
