I agree with you about him "dying" would be bad but not for the same reasons. I just think Undertaker has been built up to be pretty much invincible that if he finally "died" and someone got rid of him forever, it would mean that nearly 20 years of storylines had been wasted. I would rather him either walk out after losing a "Loser Leaves WWE" match and for him to only return and wrestle at Wrestlemania (if the streak stays intact) or have him be fired by Mr McMahon for some reason, which causes Taker to snap and destroy everyone on the WWE roster including the McMahon family before walking out. I know some people will absolutely despise this idea but I think it would be great.

I have never really liked Undertaker, I haven't disliked him but I haven't really been a fan either. I just don't really get why most people mark out for him.

As for the streak, I don't think it will end but I want it to. I want Cody Rhodes to beat Taker at Wrestlemania 27 or 28.

i hope it wont end. its impossible for me to think of a character based around a gimmick that has lasted this long. he is the epitome of longevity in the wwe and im stoked that he is still around. altho one day, i know itll be time for this legend to hang up his boots....i dont think itll be at mania and i think the streak will be his kept legacy long after he leaves.
altho i am somewhat bored of how his gimmick has transformed over the past couple of years......for the sheer nostalgia of it......his streak stays!

The thing is with people saying his gimmick is stale, it's still really really over.

Taker is possibly the most popular wrestler around in WWE today and if it wasn't over, then I'm sure he would strive to do more. I'm sure he would talk, modify his in-ring style or anything that would improve his character.

But as it stands, it's over.

Think he really needs one last heel turn before he goes, his gimmick works so well as a heel, put him on the mic a bit more aswell

As for The Undertakers gimmick being really over, I know that, I don't see why though, like I said, I don't see what he brings to the table now

Its the story of Kane coming to the WWF and the promo work from The Undertaker and the story he and Paul Bearer told throughout about a 3 month period was excellent, thats the Undertaker I used to love seeing, this one is a pale shadow of that guy!
