Last night CM Punk and Kane lost against the tag team champions The Miz and The Morrison for about the thousandth time. Over the course of the numerous matches they had it occurred to me that, all of a sudden, this has become a feud. A feud over the tag team championship.
The first point of discussion is whether this observation is actually true. The second point of discussion would be the direction this supposed feud could take.
It seems most likely to me that, should this feud be continued the way it is, Kane loses the ECW championship to Big Show pretty soon so that he will be free for the tag team belts which he and CM Punk would get, eventually, making this another Kane/ X-Pac or Kane/ RVD-like team-up.
Another possible and markish scenario could be that CM Punk will very soon turn heel on Kane. In their match against The M & The M I got the notion that this feud could be part of an elaborate plan of CM Punk to distract Kane and to gain his trust. MVP did a similar thing with Matt Hardy when he was United States champion. He won the tag team titles with Hardy as his partner, and this distracted Hardy from challenging MVP for his singles title.
Now Punk causes Kane to exhaust himself while chasing after Miz and NotNitro, and in the not so distant future Punk will cash in his MitB case and be heel champion.
I would like to hear your oppinions on that. Got your own ideas for how this will play out? Think this is all rubbish? Do you? DO YOU? Feel free to comment.

| I can't imagine CM Punk EVER turning Heel And that's of course because all his "Straight Edge" talk, is supposed to make him a role model for the kids, i think its a way for WWE to distance themselves from the drug-misuse, and set a good example (but a clever observation even though  ) | |

| What I would like to see happening in this feud would be Morrison and Miz to put there titles on the line against Kane and Punk who put there title and case on the line respectively
Then have Kane turn on Punk and choke-slam him and Morrison to pin him, thus meaning Punk loses the case, then Punk can reclaim the case again in a Ladder match v Punk at Summerslam which he could win back, it would turn Kane Heel, which could be good in his feud with Big Show, while the case would end up back with Punk it would add mystery to whats happening with the case! | |

| There has been rumors of a young heel stable and CM Punk was talked about possibly a part of it. I have been interested in seeing Punk work as a heel since he's been with the WWE. I've heard he's great as a heel. But on the otherside CM Punk is actually one of the few faces I enjoy. He's not a cheeseball factory like Cena is. | |

| I am afraid thiel619 made a good point, what with Punk being viewed as too role model-ish by the WWE to ever be allowed to turn heel.
Kane turning heel on Punk would be another thinkable situation, maybe bringing back his psycho-monster gimmick. May 19th may be over without much reaction on Kane's part, but he can still go nuts about it sometime in the future.
As for Punk not cashing in his MitB case on ECW: It wouldn't even surprise me if he cashed it in to get another shot at the tag titles. Anything is possible in WWE land. | |

His sXe lifestyle could lead you to the conclusion that he'd be a holier than thou do-gooder, but until now I've only seen it played out as a cocky "I am straight edge, and I am better than you!"-thing. That is completely different from the "I am a gangster, but I can still brush my teeth regularly" shtick Cena is doing. | |
