TNA Has a New Masked Mexican Wrestler And Why

The new masked star was actually an idea from Spike TV officials. They wanted TNA to introduce a character that would counter-act WWE's Sin Cara. TNA considered various independent wrestlers for the role but decided to use Red. No word yet if he will still wrestle as Amazing Red.

TNA should have countered Sin Cara by hiring a masked wrestler from Mexico's AAA promotion as you have Shocker who used to be in TNA (was on idiot abroad that time), La Parka, Pychosis, etc... TNA also has ties with New Japan, so Jushin Liger and Tiger Mask will easily trump Sin Cara if TNA got them to do a few interpromotional appearances like they used too.

This Amazing Red in a costume idea is stupid and they may aswell have rehired Shark Boy (minus the Stone Cold gimmick).

They're probably re-using Amazing Red because they have such a stupidly huge roster already. They struggle to fit most of their talent on their shows anyway, never mind signing even more people.

I love the fact they have a "new" mexican wrestler to counter act WWE & Sin Cara by using him on Xplosion not iMPACT with no build up whats so ever.

One of the many reasons why WWE doesn't see TNA as a threat.

atleast red will win the x division title at some point instead of getting released.
