Breaking News: Batista Headed To Strikeforce MMA

TMZ.com broke the story on Monday morning that former WWE superstar Dave Batista is becoming a professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter.

The 6'5", 290 pound Batista was in Hollywood over weekend and told TMZ that he's headed to the Strikeforce MMA promotion, home of another former WWE superstar, Bobby Lashley.

Batista even told the TMZ camera guy that he already has his first fight lined up, but can't comment on it just yet.

There have been rumors for months that the 41 year old Batista would be following in the footsteps of Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. Now, its official.

Would imagine hes one of the biggest guys they've got. Still reckon he's gonna get killed.

Yes it is, but I doubt they'll add Batista as it's too late.

Now that he is in Strikeforce, we need a Batista vs Lashley match (I reckon Lashley will win).

TMZ.com has posted a story noting that former WWE and WCW star Booker T has spoken out about Batista's possible MMA future. The article reads, "Batista may have left the WWE, but his most hated rival is still talking trash -- claiming the former heavyweight wrestling champ is gonna get crushed when Batista starts fighting for real in MMA.

TMZ spoke with WWE legend Booker T. -- who famously clashed with Batista in a real-life throwdown in '06 -- and Booker tells us he doesn't think Batista can "match up" with some of the big boys in Strikeforce."

Id like to see him get his ass kicked like. He has a huge ego and I cant see him being a good fighter but you never know.

I dont know much about MMA but the fact that he blows up just making his entrance to the ring and sweats buckets just running the ropes isnt a good sign for a fighting career.

Is strikeforce in a ring or cage, i want to see him shake it then get banged lol
