Englands biggest problem since Terry Vennables quit is they try and play the 11 best players they have instead of picking 11 players who compliment each other (although Heskey beinging included doesn't back this thought)

Italy won the World Cup but they didn't play their best 11, they choose players who complimented each other, very seldom Totti and Del Peiro played together for the Italians

Whoever is in charge of England just point blank refuses to drop Lampard or Gerrard because both of them are fantastic players, it doesn't matter that most of the time they cancil each other out wen they are together in a central 2

Time the Germans make people pay attention?

In the last 2 World Cups they have got to the final of one and the semi final of the other one, only an idiot would just completely over look the Hun

i haven't really heard anyone back them as a proper beast this year, young squad they have etc, no ballack, people always think industrious, organised, but this tournenent has been lacking goals, think they will provide attacking force. They are currently playing like how england should, keep ball, build up, they are making me feel sorry to be english right now lol, its so simple. They wont just boot it every 2 mins, its enthrawling, ppl will say its boring though

I don't really see much difference to the usual Germans to be honest, clinical as ever, they find a weakness and they exploit it, its been how I've always saw Germany

You would have thought the ref would have been a little lenient all things considered. Strange watching a match on a Sunday night (don't watch Spanish football) but good.

Most of the decent French players of the past decade could have easily played for another country.

John Barnes I recall was born in Jamaica but I can't remember many others that weren't English born yet play for England.
