Breaking News: Three Of Hardy's Four Drug Charges Dropped

A rep from the Moore County Superior Court confirmed today that at the June 3rd hearing, the following charges from the September 2009 raid of Jeff Hardy's home were dropped:

-- Felony drug trafficking, Two felony charges of possession of a Schedule III controlled substance or drug.

-- Felony possession of cocaine, Felony maintaining a dwelling for redistribution of controlled substances.

-- Misdemeanor Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Only the charge of Conspiracy to Traffic Opium remains. This charge was added in January of this year.

The trial will resume on July 6th.

Out of court settlement somewhere or someone paying off someone perhaps? I don't know much about the charges tbh but seems strange they are suddenly dropped as its been going on for a while hasn't it?

It kept getting delayed and delayed, so maybe the prosecution couldn;t persuade the judge that there was enough evidence or something.

Was thinking lack of evidence or something like that.

To be fair though most of the word coming from the Hardy camp suggested most of the charges wouldn't stick!

Doubt he will do time now which in my opinion is good news

yep he was suppose to be where RVD is but because of his court stuff they didnt want to risk it incase he had to do time so they stuck the strap on RVD

i wish they got rid of the ramp connected to the ring and the ring is tiny i went to the Wembley tour last January and was shocked by how small it was

i can see Hardy winning it first time round then he puts it up against Mr Anderson and wins then RVD asks for his rematch clause for BFG

Its just what I think. It'll go for a few more months - august maybe - then they'll do some sort of story where Bischoff or Hogan will turn heel and say they don't care about the fans anymore. Something along those lines.

be a bit of a shame for guys ranked low down like Rob Terry,Joe and Kaz because this really is there chance to shine to try and prove they deserve to be in the main event scene

PWTorch.com recently reported that 3 of the 4 charges Jeff Hardy is currently facing have been dropped. However, ThePilot.com is reporting that is NOT the case. District Attorney Maureen Kreuger told The Pilot that Hardy's "charges are still pending." She then added, "In fact, a new one has been added." It was also reported that Hardy is due back in court on July 3rd, however according to The Pilot, a new court date has yet to be set.
