Rise of Rated R and The Viper( draft spoiler)

So Edge made the surprising but yet welcomed heel turn last night by spearing Randy Orton.

I have been losing patience with Edge as of late, I have been a huge fan of this guy since I started watching WWE. I however never realised how dull the guy is as a face. His cocky heel, rated R and ultimate oppertunist gimmick was fur superior. Hopefully this can solidify him as a heel for the forseeable future leading to a possible feud with Christian at Mania time. This can also help cement Randy Orton as a face, being put in with Edge can help him have his first proper face feud with someone who can get lots of heat, this person is Edge. No complaints from me

But does this mean Edge is a 1 dimensional character in WWE and have WWE done the right thing in the rushed turn?

I agree Edge as a face is just horrid, he bored me and he sucked. he's one of the best heels around and needs to stay a heel.

He was the only reason i watched SD circa 07-09 with La Familia and his Feud with Taker...ran the show.

Im liking the Face/Tweener Anti-Hero thing Orton has going on, never really bought into his character last year when he had the feud with the McMahons, he just seemed like a crazy unstoppable retarded moron.

Edge vs Orton feud if done properly will be brilliant imo

I agree Edge's heel turn is good but I dont think Randy Orton is the right guy to go against atm. Unsure why so given time I may be wrong

Nah just kidding Im glad Edge turned Heel he's plain as a face but i do feel its a bit rushed as the Fans where really into edge as a face always chanting spear but its a good move if it is a heel turn.

btw whats Randy Ortons and Edges history with each other heard Cole say remember there history with each other all i no is they had a team called Rated RKO but it was when i stopped watching wrestling can someone feel me in please ?

I don't think it was really a heel turn though. Just edge making a statement. If it was gonna be a heel turn he would of attacked a bigger face than Orton (who doesn't really act like a face at all IMO.) Still, I'm sure we'll find out next week.

Orton is more over than Cena at the moment as a face. And from what i gathered from SD it is official edge is a heel

Just watched the end of raw back and Edge comes in spears Orton and rather than making a big deal of it Michael Cole starts saying

"Ladies and gentleman we are live tonight, title threat match to determine the number 1 contender"

Meanwhile batista has rolled over and put his arm on orton. By the time Cole notices the count is on 2,

Anyone else find it strange how someone has turned heel by attacking Orton lol, I mean after what he has done over the past couple of years, most superstars would have a reason to go after him. I'm glad they haven't made it obvious that Orton is more face than heel now. What I mean is that I'm glad they didn't have Orton team up with Sheamus in a handicap match against Cena, for example, and have Orton beat up Sheamus after Sheamus slaps and disrespects him.

Speaking of Edge, I'm quite disappointed that he now appears to be heel again (I still don't know how anyone can be sure that is the case yet). I didn't think much of him as a face but he only had one feud. I would have given him more time and feuds 'till late Summer at least. I feel now that despite Edge's talent, he can't play a decent face (which is again why he should have been given more time) which is what most of the true greats can do. A better story during the Jericho feud would have helped too probably, I personally didn't care for it that much.

I hope the WWE title picture stays like it is for a while, with 4 challengers in Edge, Orton, Sheamus and Batista who don't really care who they fight.

I'm writing this having not read the spoilers for SmackDown BTW. And Bosch, basically Rated RKO began to cost each other matches in the lead up to the WrestleMania 23 MITB ladder match. Neither of them properly turned on each other like the Rockers did but they quickly drifted apart.
