| Impact from last Monday (and sorry this is almost a week late)...
I appreciate that they are trying to compete with Raw, build an audience, and all that . However, this was the last Impact before Destination X, and there were certain bits that seemed massively out of place. TNA's PPV buy-rates are some way below WWE's, and to my mind, last Monday showed why;
Mick Foley & Eric Biscoff: this could have been a perfect chance for a Hair vs Hair match on PPV, similar to the Trump vs Vince Mania 23 match. instead, Eric gets a partial shaving, that seems to come out of nowhere. The abovr stip would have worked on PPV, not as a mian event, but certainly a featured undercard match. but no, it happens unannounced, on TV. Why?
AJ Styles vs Jeff Hardy: for a lot of people, this is a dream match. So why the hell give it away for free on TV? This could have been a huge main event, Joe vs Angle sized clash. but no, TNA rushes it onto TV, with very little build-up again. and even then, give it a clean finish. I understand that Jeff might only be with TNA for a short time, but surely once Destination X is out of the way, let Abyss work with someone else to get that potentially huge AJ vs Jeff match headlining a PPV. Just seems like a dumb move.
Just seems a bit dumb that two potentially huge moments were rushed onto TV, with hardly any fanfare, for no reason that I could see. Aside from that, I enjoyed it, despite the amount of TV time Hogan got, and that we had to watch all of Sting's slow walk from the rafters (commercial break there, surely), some of the backstage stuff still semmed a bit amateurish, the use of blood seemed OTT (Flair managing to bleed during a promo, that was a first for me), but the in-ring action was good. Just could have done with a bit more of it.

| The Mick Foley & Eric Biscoff fued I can see being big Lethal Lockdown Team foley ( foley ,jeff jarret ,abyss, ?,?) vs Team Biscoff (a Team of heels picked by eric).
AJ vs Jeff Hardy was a chance to set Hardy up as a fued after Lockdown. The main point of this weeks Main Event was to make Abyss look like a big threat to AJ's title run, and make AJ look weak hopefully so he will outsmart him at Destination X.
Might not of been to best pre-PPV Impact but did a good job of setting up the best looking Hogan/Biscoff PPV to date. It also hinted at things to come at Lockdown

| the AJ/Jeff match was aired on Impact I think to hopefully steal viewers from Raw. If WWE fans who have never heard of TNA, hear that Jeff Hardy is wrestling at the same time as Raw is on, maybe they are likely to watch TNA instead and therefore have an emotional tie with the product after seeing Naitch and AJ also | |

I'm thinking towards a Team Hogan v Team Bischoff at Lockdown tbh mate

But that wouldn't have the same kind of impact that a Hair vs Hair stip would have. Anyway, my shout would be Lethal Lockdown being either Hogan vs Sting, or kurt vs Mr. Anderson.

It just makes no sense though. That could be the biggest match TNA has at the moment, and they rush it onto TV, in a nothing match. Abyss barely did anything (and I still don't get the whole 'magical ring' push TNA is gving the WWE HOF) just seems like a complete waste. I guess at least it wasn't a title match, but why not use Daniels or another popular fae in that role, rather than Jeff?

That failed then because AJ/Hardy lost even the viewers that started with Impact, let alone stealing any from raw. Someone made an excuse(a poor one) of why this match wasn't advertised the other day, sorry but there is no excuse for not advertising this match when it was a taped show, NONE.

| The guys in the X-Division promo are the ones involved in big matches at tonights PPV.
I really don't have a problem with big matches on TV and cannot understand why anyone would? TNA can still do the match at a PPV, as we all know that isn't the best those two can produce.
I'm hoping at Lockdown, its Team RVD (ECW) vs Team Sting (WCW)

| Raven is someone I would like to see be used more in TNA. But the simple fact is they can't use everyone right now. They have some good storylines/fueds building at the minute and there simply isn't enough time for everyone, just now. | |

| ^^^ Truth
Raven should be used behind the scenes IMO, he's got a decent "wrestling brain" it would seem(from some of shoot interviews anyway).

Because that match has huge marketing potential, and TNA have blown it by shoving it onto free TV. The one thing TNA will need to even start thinking about rivalling WWE is money, and the PPV market is one that has the potential to be a big earner for them. when Angle and Joe met for the first time, they did all the usual promo stuff on TV, but had the actual match on PPV. That was TNA's biggest selling PPV (at that point, anyway, not sure if it's been beaten since).
Of the stars TNA has, AJ vs Jeff are arguably two of the biggest they have with mass market appeal. Saving it until a PPV could have made TNA a bucketload of cash, but insteadf they've blown it in a failed attempt to take viewers from Raw. In the build-up to Wrestlemania. For me, a stupid move.
