Celebrity Revealed for the 2010 WWE HOF

- Major League Baseball great Bob Uecker will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that WWE has wanted to induct Uecker for years but his broadcasting job with the Milwaukee Brewers has caused scheduling conflicts. Uecker confirmed his induction to the paper. Uecker was the master of ceremonies for WrestleMania 3 and 4. It's possible WWE will announce him when fellow MLB name Pete Rose hosts RAW on March 22nd.

Would it be foolish to ask why?

You just know now that when he gets his Hall of Fame ring he will be on iMPACT! the Monday after Mania giving Shark Boy it and telling him 'he has the power'

So he wasnt even a wrestler and only appeared now and again? How does that constitute a place in the Hall of fame

Vince is just doing him a good turn, Uecker was quite a well known main stream sports face when he did WrestleMania III and IV so I think Vince is just repaying the favour

FFS, no celebrities should be allowed in the WWE hall of fame, Pete Rose is already in it and what did he do? Got tombstoned by Kane at two Wrestlemanias, really HOF worthy.

Oh dear, WWE really must be struggling for names to put in the HOF, I dont know why when there are plenty of people that I could name here by myself that (as far as I know) dont even have problems with the McMahons:

3. Lex Luger
4. Owen Hart
5. Goldberg
6. Lita
7. Trish Stratus
8. Chyna (questionable as she and HHH used to be going out didnt they)
9. King Kong Bundy
10. Brooklyn Brawler (hey hes a legend around there apparently seen as hes had a job for so long)
11. Arn Anderson (hasnt been inducted as far as I know)
12. Ole Anderson (but I think he has a lot of heat in New York)
13. Tully Blanchard
14. Shane McMahon (?)

I thought Owen Hart was inducted was he not? I agree with you that JBL should be inducted, despite all the backstage stuff he was a good ambassador for the WWE/F

I always thought he was inducted . I suppose thats fair enough really given what happened.

I think they will keep Luger for next year when WrestleMania is in Atlanta, I think it will have a pretty big WCW theme, I expect Sting to headline next years

I think they will only induct Sting if he has left Tna by then and apparently he has signed a new contract.

I'm thinking Ron Simmonds for next year also. damn.

Yeah its fair enough, but she expected a huge check from Vince to keep it out of court so its not as if she has never done any kind of deal with him.

I'm leaving this as my dark sense of humor is threatening to come out.

My initial thoughts would be that too but I definitely don't see Sting being in TNA in a years time, if he does stick around for another while I think it will only be until Bound For Glory which is around October

That being said, if TNA are still not a threat to WWE then if their is a serious WCW feel to it then with TNA or not I feel Sting will be inducted

If Ron Simmons goes in then JBL should go in with him. I liked Ron Simmons but didnt really like him towards the end when all he did was that and backstage promos which led to him saying that.

Many people thought he was going to retire after last years Bound For Glory, what with the big speech from him and Aj. If he was to retire then it should be then seeing as it is TNA's biggest PPV and he should probably have the same angle as last year.
I read on wrestlezone they were looking at doing a WCW induction next year, it would be good to see as there are plenty of names which would be deserving of it.

Ron Simmons was the first African American World Champion, that alone suggests he needs to be inducted on his own, anyway, JBL is an induction all on his own but not for a good few years yet, he still has plenty of life left in his JBL character

If they are doing a WCW theme though he has to go in on his own for everything he did there.

Do you think he is going to make a return?

Not as a wrestler but I'd be really surprised if he didn't have another run as a GM/Owner type of one of the shows, he is 2010 version of a 1998 Vince McMahon

I would like it if he did do that. The Donald Trump ownership angle didnt really work but this probably would given the fact that JBL has a wrestling background. Even if he came back as a commentater it would be good. There has been rumours that he is returning because of a tweet that he put on one day stating he was the best free agent in wrestling.

Is the HOF not just a glorified WrestleMania Alumni? That's where it seems to be heading, imo. Nothing wrong with that, it's just it should be called that.

I've read about the WCW theme for next year also. I'm not sure on Sting, although he could retire at BFG so that would pave the way. I'm also not sure Vince would want him? After all, he has never worked for Vince. There are probably others who have never worked for him in there already, so what the hey.

Sting is the one guy Vince has always been complimentry to and they will most definitely want to bring out a Sting DVD so I have no doubts what so ever that Sting will be inducted at some point
