Openly bent character on our screens? (TNA Spoiler Thread)

Would it bother any of you if WWE or TNA introduced an openly gay character.
I don't mean like Billy and Chuck, I mean a ligitimate gay male who kisses his friend/manager before his matches?


If the answer is YES IT WOULD BOTHER ME! Don't watch Impact next week.

Really not well thought out decision here by TNA.
Spike TV which shows TNA in the States is a proper bloke channel aimed at single men that enjoy the likes of Baywatch etc. The average Spike TV viewer will quickly be reaching for either the remote or sick bucket whenever it airs.
Also surely TNA will have to be careful on how they portray Jordan, will he be a heel purely because he kisses men implying that homosexuality is a bad thing?

I think its an openly Bi character, not read spoilers but from what I gather he headed to the ring with a guy and a girl and gave both a kiss

It's a massive error on TNAs part, not just because they will have to portray him has a heel but also becasue they have just become super strict with the Impact Zone fans with regard to their chants, and now they introduce a gay to them - The Impact zone, and Florida in general, is full of faggot hating rednecks!

restricting thier chants and changing the ring to 4 side and the ramp i think tna no longer feel as if they need there originall fans

While it wasn't initially revealed in our first spoiler report, Prowrestling.net is reporting that Orlando Jordan kissed a man prior to his match with Samoa Joe at the TNA Impact TV tapings on Monday. Jordan was escorted to the ring by a man and woman and kissed both before his match. Were told this didn't go over well with many people backstage within TNA and it is possible the company may edit it out. Jason Powell is also reporting that one TNA wrestler said running an angle like that with Jordan would turn off viewers, especially with the show airing on a network like Spike TV that is geared towards men

On his first match in TNA he beat the Pope and on the show where he kisses another man he beats Joe (sorry if that's a spoiler, my bad, I thought that as we were already discussing future shows then it was okay, should have realised)

surely its better if anyone can beat anyone, cant see why people moan about it tbh

It hardly builds pushes for guys that are meant to be challenging around the title scene though does it?

Samoa Joe gets a title shot yet fails to even appear on the PPV before it, in the build up he loses cleanly to a guy that was a mid card jobber in WWE and lost to the Ultimate Warrior whilst on the indy circuit.

surely joe was put off by the man on man action lol.

lol how the fuck is this guy beating joe more importantly why is joe a local jobber all of a sudden i think he really step up his game in the last PPV

Same with Chris Daniels, he completely stole the show a couple of PPVs ago when he was involved in the triple threat with AJ and Joe (and then the one on one v AJ), why on earth did TNA not capitalise on it?
No instead he loses cleanly to Val Venis and until this weeks tapings he was 0-14 since Hogan took over (and not even appearing at the PPV at the weekend).

Oh and in the next 2 tapings he loses again on one show and doesnt appear by the look of it on the other.

The fuss that people kicked up over them two playing gay lovers was crazy back in WCW and this was before Billy and Chuck.

You know Vince wanted to do a gay storyline years ago, he wanted Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexy to become closer and closer before finally lunging at each other with a full on kiss but Jerry Lawler veto'ed it big time, it eventually went to Billy and Chuck

The whole gay thing doesn't bother me in the slightest, I wouldn't actively go out my way to watch two guys kissing but I wouldn't stop watching something because their might be a guy on guy kiss, it really doesn't bother me at all, I'm hardly going to get sexually excited or sexually repelled by anything I see in a Pro Wrestling show

Shameless is one of the funniest things on the telly yet there is always a bit of back door action in that

It's quite funny that people are complaining about two guys kissing, in between them watching oily men play with each other.
