Tommy Dreamer Reportedly Requests His Release From WWE

According to numerous sources within World Wrestling Entertainment, Tommy Dreamer is parting ways with the company.

The word going around among talent at last night's SmackDown/ECW taping in Miami was that Dreamer had requested his release from the company.

"The ECW Original" has been with WWE since July 2001, working both as a wrestler and also holding other responsibilities within the company. He did work last night's ECW taping, facing Zack Ryder.

Interesting. He hasn't been seen for a while and I can't see much else for him to do at the minute so it could good for him

Should have left when his contract expired, it was a total waste of a time when he won the title.

I reported several months ago that there was a reason that Dreamer wasn't appearing on ECW. He was said to have been very frustrated for quite some time now.

It's been ineveitable, I thought he was going to leave at Extreme Rules which probably would have been better.

He should be a jobber every week though that's the point, his fat arse is well past it.

TNA shouldn't be picking anyone like him up.

Glad he's going to be honest. I was never really a big fan of his and out of the "Originals" I have watched in the past I seem to be less interested in him than the others

I can't see him going to TNA, although, he was at a WWE autograph session yesterday and was quoted as saying 'Don't believe everything you read on the internet.'

Always liked Dreamer in the old ECW, but he is well and truly past it. I'm surprised he hasn't just stopped wrestling and concentrated on his backstage roles. TNA would be mad to sign him.

Age has crept up with him I think. Definately not the same wrestler he was in the original ECW but then again he has been hindered by what he can do in the ring. Olus didn't he retire for a while due to an injury?

Just watching ECW before I go to bed and Dreamers belly has crept up with him as well it seems.

Dreamer WAS good but hope to fuck he doesnt turn up in TNA, unless its in a mad hardcore match with foley or raven, other than that he can get to fuck.

"Rumors are circulating that Tommy Dreamer is leaving WWE but leaving on good terms. This is NOT official as I have not talked to any one in WWE or to Tommy but I did get a few emails from some fans who said that Tommy told them at a personal appearance that he was leaving WWE. Dreamer is a passionate guy who loves the business particularly what it was during the early part of his career. I have great respect for Tommy Dreamer and wish him much happiness and good health. I expect to see Tommy in a wrestling ring as long as he is physically able to hold up ala Terry Funk, one of Dreamer's heroes. Tommy's twin daughters appeared for a season in my favorite TV show of all time, "The Sopranos" which was really cool."

Seems as if Dreamer might not be leaving just yet

Never liked or Rated Dreamer in the slightest, never found him in any way shape or form entertaining, surprised he still has a job at the top table to be honest
