| What a match they two had on ECW last night, taped before RAW I managed to miss all spoilers of the show so I could watch the title match without any knowledge of how it would go, Swagger retained but Christian was brilliant, both of them where, the crowd where as loud as I think any ECW crowd has ever been, also read a RAW report that said Christian got the second biggest pop of the night behind Cena, so hopefully Vince was watching, good look, having good matches and crowd reaction, surely thats what every wrestler strives for?
It wasn't all Cage though, Swagger was excellent too

| Watched was jsut going to do a thread on it.
Christian again another one of them lads who can really help out the younger generation and he did so last night with Swagger. the match was immense and see Swagger win was good news for everyone. Swagger won but did not make Christian look bad at all.
The match could now see a big fued build or even end the fued that they had. i think that the way the WWE will go is end the fued and we will see Christian in the MITB match now.
This leaves the door open for Dreamer to try and win the ECW title before he calls it a day.

| I think it was important for Swagger to win this one, he has been pinned on the last three ECWs and was pinned twice by Christian, it was kinda clear he would win however the way the match panned out was excellent | |

| Good win for Swagger, went straight to this match couldn't be botherd to watch the rest of the show, work very well together theese to, i think Swagger is brilliant as is Christian.
According to wiki - Swagger is only 26, think he is gonna play a big part in the WWE over the next 10/15 years.

| Cage does a diving headbutt now?
isn't that move linked the brain damage benoit suffered?
Cage looked near cryin towards the end of that. Great injury selling.

| Yea he sold it well, since Swagger was working on it most of the match he really put him over
As for the diving headbutt, I noticed it a couple of weeks ago when he returned, doesn't seem to do the Frog Splash now!
Already asked if maybe he does that as a Tribute to Beniot!
As for the move being linked to Beniots 'brain damage'
Nothing was ever proven, the WWE simply stopped moves that would remind people of him although HBK and HHH have been doing the crossface for a while

| After the double-murder suicide, former wrestler Chris Nowinski contacted Michael Benoit, father of Chris Benoit, suggesting that years of trauma to his son's brain may have led to his actions. Tests were conducted on Benoit's brain by Julian Bailes, the head of neurosurgery at West Virginia University, and results showed that "Benoit's brain was so severely damaged it resembled the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient."
knew i read it somewhere.
your right as to think that no link was ever established, but it's a pretty basic line of though.

| It wasn't just the diving headbutt either, I remember unprotected chair shots being mentioned too. | |

| The Diving Head butt is not that dangerous in my opinion, his arms and body take the brunt of it, the head shot is just the money maker, it would often connect with the chest as well which is probably the fleshiest bit of the average wrestlers body | |

| your probably right. I started watchin WWE after he died, and thus never saw the move in any capacity. It's not as devistating as I though. | |

| I thought it was an excellent match, neither looked particuarly weak and Christian and Swagger both showed exactly what they were capapble of.
Also well done WWE for getting four pretty good matches into an one hour show.

| Its great to see Christian back but it was a shock to see him put on ECW. I hope its only for a short time. Hopefully he'll get moved when they do the Brand switches on Raw in a few weeks | |

| Its good he is on ECW for now, it allows him to reestablish himself in the WWE and gives him the show to himself basically, when the time is right he will be a world champion on SD or/and RAW
Have patience | |
