At the PPV after Backlash (can't remember what it is, No Mercy?) Shawn Michaels, who lost to Taker at WM before Undertaker retired, hasn't got a match or anything. Randy Orton is facing Batista in the main event for the WWE Title. I would have Batista having the match won before Shawn Michaels runs out and helps Orton pick up the win, Michaels then joins Legacy, in a similar role to what Flair was to Evolution, expect he wrestles more.
The next week he says he thinks Orton is the person to take his mantle and nobody can get in his way. Batista walks out and says that he would be the champion if it wasn't for Michaels and he deserves a second match. Michaels says beat me tonight and you'll get that match. Batista and Michaels have a match but Michaels gets the win thanks to the rest of Legacy.
Batista then drops off the radar for a couple of weeks when Triple H, Steph, Vince and Shane all return at the PPV (Triple H had been punted in the head at Mania and Backlash causing him serious head injuries, Steph had been out from that RKO and Shane the beating and Vince the punt.
Triple H says he's expected it from Orton but not from his friend. This then leads to Michaels saying that Haitch is wrong, even you saw Orton as the future at one point. Triple H looks like he's going to consider it before running down to the ring and going for a beatdown but after a hard fight, the numbers of Legacy prove too much forTriple H.
The next week on Raw, Vince says that at the next PPV it will be Triple H vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship with him as the special referee.
The next few weeks are just building up to this, tag matches etc. Michaels and Haitch never actually meet one-on-one in the ring though. At the PPV McMahon doesn't disqualify Orton when Priceless come to ring knowing Orton would retain that way, but he does stop them brining in loads of security to stop them. When the security have got rid of Pricless suddenly through the crowd Michaels comes in a referee uniform. McMahon looks confused, Orton hits an RKO on Vince and then Michales Sweet Chin Musics HHH and then counts the pin.
Next weeks Raw Stephanie comes out and explains her actions to a complaining Triple H, she is stood on the stage when Legacy walk out and lift her arms in the air when its revealed she put Michaels in that match.
Week before the next PPV Vince returns in a neck brace, the whole of Legacy are in the ring, he fires Stephanie before making the next PPV; Michaels vs. Orton for the WWE Championship.
Backstage before the PPV Orton is telling Michaels that he should lie down for him. Michales looks conflicted. They come out together to Legacy's music and the bell rings. Orton pokes Michaels in the chest while grinning expecting him to fall down but Michaels hits a superkick out of nowhere and then a match ensues. Priceless come down but Michaels gets rid of them, Orton goes for an RKO but Michaels manages to dodge it before hitting a Sweet Chin Music. Pin. 1...2...3! Michaels is the champion.
Michaels says he looked back at what he did and saw that it was a mistake, Orton isn't the future of the business he's everything that's bad abput it. Triple H comes out and says that Michaels did the right thing last night, but he'll never repay him. Michaels offers to put the title on the line tonight against Triple H. During the match, Legacy (Orton, Priceless and Steph walk down the ramp.) Vince and Shane come out and say they have no right here while Michaels and Haitch look at in the ring.
Legacy start to beat down Vince and Shane, Michaels and Haitch slide out of the ring and run up the ramp and try and fight off the team. Steph is pushed off the stage in the riot and seems to injure herself. Orton is unemotional, despite her being on his side. Triple H and Michaels manage to fight off Priceless so its just them and Orton left. By this time the referee has given up on their match.
Orton just runs away, but before the show cuts out its revealed it will be Michaels and Triple H vs. Legacy next week on Raw.
In this match Michaels and Haitch beat down Pricless with Orton staying on the apron the whole time before he is tagged in and hits a suprise RKO on Haicth while Priceless hold of Michaels while he gets the win.
Next Raw, revealed it will be Orton vs. Michaels for the WWE Championship at the PPV. In this match Priceless run down but are fought off by Triple H, then Haitch becomes a managerr for Michaels. Michales goes for the Sweet Chin Music while the referee is down but HHH drags Orton out of the way before getting into the ring. Michaels is shouting at him before HHH hits a pedigree.
Orton punts Michaels in the head before Triple H helps the referee up and Orton wins back the belt.
Next week on Raw, Triple H says Michaels was right all along Orton is the future of this business.
This would then lead to a Michaels/Haitch feud and Orton/McMahons.
