Tomko Signs WWE Deal?

The word going around last night’s SmackDown tapings in Albany. NY is that Tyson Tomko has signed a new contract with World Wrestling entertainment. Tomko was partnered with Christian Cage before he left WWE back in 2006 to work overseas for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

He would eventually sign with TNA where he was reunited on camera with Christian. He held tag title gold in Japan with Giant Bernard (formerly A-Train from WWE) and with AJ Styles in TNA Wrestling. His New Japan commitments caused issues with TNA, which ultimately led to his departure. After working more in Japan and doing one more surprise appearance in TNA earlier this year, he began talks with WWE.

With Edge back in WWE and Christian expected to return there by the end of the year, many expect that we’ll see Edge, Christian and Tomko involved together in early 2009, whether teaming together or feuding.

Hopefully Kizarny joining them too and get a decent Diva for a new stable

Hopefully Tomko actually competes this time around instead of just being Christian's manager/bodyguard/enforcer. If this story is true, I can see him feuding with Punk or Kofi on RAW for the IC title sometime soon before either staying on RAW or moving to SD to compete in the main event without him actually winning the world title.

This sounds like it could work really well with all of these talented wrestlers arriving....or WWE could just brush them off to the side and not use them to their fullest potential

I have been thinking Tomko will return to the WWE for a while now, sure I posted an article on it a while back.

This guy has everything Vince looks for, he is big and he can actually wrestle, he has a good look and can talk.

This for me is a big indication that Christian is on hsi way back

Anyway, for Tomko's return. I don't know why, but I like him. I have to reiterate the point that Sexton made a while ago: WWE needs good and entertaining midcarders. And Tomko can be a very good and entertaining midcarder.

Oh, ok then. Haven't seen Raw yet, so is it true that Kennedy's performance was somewhat less than stellar?

Also it would be nice if they gave Tomko some kind of gimmick when he returns. I mean apart from "big tattooed muscly guy that is good to have around when heavy things need lifting".

I think his role in TNA was perfect, he is a far superior talent now than the one that left the WWE in 2006, his time in Japan has nurtured him into a good performer who can work at a high level

I agree with Gaffer, since leaving WWE, from lack of direction or w/e, and going to TNA he has improved, and at one point looked to be a decent main eventer, I beleive his run with TNA has done wonder's for him, and it's made WWE, amongst other's (the Jap's), take notice, it's kinda like Ron Killings, did nowt in the 'F, went to TNA, became a (two time?) NWA Champion, back in the 'E, he's getting a decent push, ofcourse not straight to the main event, but it's a start...

And if Tomko does come back, any body reckon Albert could follow? I miss the "Shave your back!" chant's lol.
