Most in need of a character change?

Who in your opinion is in the most need of a character change, be it WWE, TNA or any other.

For me it was a close call but I narrowed it down to two people.

Batista

His character has been the same since he turned on Triple H in whatever year it was. It is generally boring and the main thing is he suits a heel way more than a face, his moveset, his mic work they all point towards a heel character, yet WWE continue with this boring, repepitive face crap.

I thought during his feud with Jericho/Micheals he would be the one to turn heel, but he just faded away from that, despite him pulling off some of the best mic work and even ring work he had done in a long time. Since then it has been the same. I want to see a heel turn from him pretty soon, there is a simple way laid out for them. Rey Mysterio, have Batista supposedly come down to 'save' Mysterio from a heel, only to turn and join the beatdown, instant heat.

An angry, big guy heel is probably the best he can play, as I don't think he would settle for an enforcers job. But I reckon a manager would be good for him in the event of a character change, JBL would be good but doubt they would team. The only person I can think of is Ric Flair, but that isn't going to happen.

Triple H

I have hated every moment of his face character this time around, especially since his move to Smackdown. The most annoying thing is his breaking of kayafbe, acting like a 10 year old boy, saying it as if it is cool. A simple heel turn is what is needed. Like Batista, he suits it a hell of a lot more than a face, he could play the powerful heel, sneaky heel, or most likely a cocky heel.

Others worthy of mention: John Cena, Kane, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio.

My suggestion would have to be Kennedy. If he indeed is going to be a face he needs to drop the cocky behavior, at least for a while. Someone like The Rock could do Cocky Face (God, that sounds wrong) pretty well, but everybody, including Kennedy, needs to realize that Kennedy is not The Rock.



And seconding Batista. The times they teased a heel-turn for him and then dropped it made him look like an angry emo whiner, most of the time. He really isn't talented enough to be a tweener, because when he does heelish things he cannot make them feel plausible and sufficiently awesome, they just turn out confusing and out of place.

It's a bit like that with all baby-faces: They are supposed to be good and noble and fair, but at the same time WWE wants them to be badass and dominant. Sometimes that just doesn't work.

Umaga for me, it's been brought up a few times but I'm just not a fan of the 'native' gimmick. He's got excellent ring moves and is hugely athletic for a man of his size. Could easily be WWE's answer to Samoa Joe.

Was hoping for a change with Rey during the Kane debacle but it never materialised, just dont know how they'd make the little runt a heel though.

Undertaker I think is beyond a gimmick change now, they did it with the badass persona that just didnt make it. Think however stale it is, he's got the deadman persona for life now.

Cena I'd like a heel stint, a team of him and Orton could be a great one.

CM Punk -from world champion to tag champion with ex-ic champion .whats i doing for him . I WANT ! to see him just cut a crazy promo like him just flipping otu and losgin his temper sayig punk comes first and just goes on some crazy heel run . I'd do something with Festus. He's a huge guy, and someone WWE obviously has big plans for, but his current schizo act is not going to help him in the long run. As soon as Miz and Morrison rang the bell in the middle of their match a couple of weeks ago, and got the win, I think the act should finish there. Yeah, it was unusual and quite funny to start with, but now it's got predictable.

Knowing WWE they'll end it by him taking a chair shot that knocking the sense back into him, but they have to do something with him soon. A gimmick like this has a very limited shelf life, and I think it's hit the end of it now.

Thing is with HHH is that he's probably one of the most un-versatile characters in the world lol.

His face persona is cringe worthy and just a big pile of sherbert really the thing he's good at, being a heel, has been done so much that even though it was brilliantly played, it bores the nipples off everyone now. There really is bugger all you can do with that fella now.

Really Shawn Micheals?

I know he has been the same sort of gimmick for a while, but I don't think he is one of the most needed of a character change in the 'E'. He's not even boring, although I would love to see just one last heel turn before he retires, but I doubt it'll happen.

Mysterio is another IMO, he hasn't changed since he first came into the company and I think he has always been boring. I thought the Kane/Rey feud could have done wonders for Rey, and Kane for that matter, in terms of character change. Take off the mask or make him a darker, heel-turn, anything!
