A modern day DX idea

One of the things I think is lacking in the WWE is a good stable, or even better a stable war. With the brand split, it makes it hard for things like this to happen. But Miz and Morrison have been on Raw, ECW and Smackdown this week, so the rules of brand movement are fading.

I think a DX style stable could be perfect for a cross brand storyline, 4 or 5 cocky young heels rebelling against the rules but still not turning face.

I think a heel CM Punk would be a perfect leader, it would get him over as a top dog, fronting a stable and going for the world titles.

Morrison could be the next up, and maybe a rebel inside the group and it has a ready made storyline to push him, i.e. fighting Punk for the leadership pushing one into a face turn and one into a heel. Morrison would also be pushing for world title shots.

Elijah Burke could be the mid-card star, going for the US/Interconential/ECW Championship. This would be great for him and would get him into some roles.

Beth Phoenix could play a Chyna-like role, fighting the women but also against men, helping the rest of the stable to get victories.

I think a stable like this would be perfect for a inter-brand storyline, and maybe stem off to creating another stable to challenge it, maybe even Morrison breaks off creating his own. I don't think this could happen for another couple of years though.

That poses one problem though.

You need FIVE (indeed, a capital letters five) good faces to work well as a stable from Raw and ECW.

Plus leave plenty of decent wrestlers out for other storylines.

Like you said, the brand extension has pretty much fucked up stables.

the last thing we need in WWE is another DX style stable. seriously leak. get some imagination. we need something new. different to DX all together

and also CM punk going for world titles! above john morrison! whats that all about!

john morrison has more charisma, mic skills and wrestling ability in his little finger than punk does!

not only that he is entertaining to watch. both in promo and in the ring...

punk is just not

Punk and Morrison are both going for world titles, and this sets up a feud between those to.

I think if this stable is tweener, it could go against faces or heels, a corpatate style stable would be the best bet in competion.

John Cena

Fronting it. As a heel, suits etc.

Mr. Kennedy

An upper mid-carder.

Mike Knox

An enforcer.

Vince McMahon

The mouthpiece.

Natyla

The woman competion.

But that's all multi-brand

It's also in maybe a year or a year and a half, not right now. I don't expect CM Punk to be ready to front a stable.

I still doubt they'll let Smackdown and Raw mix together that frequently.

And like I said before even if they work well together then who they gonna fight with?

It's boring as fook when they just pick on randomers like Evolution did.

The DX-esque stable against the corparate stable.

This in a year or year and a half, they might all be on the same brand by then. I don't expect this to happen, I just think it'd be a good idea.

I like the idea of adding stable, definitly not a DX type of stable tho, DX was great back in the day, now tho i actually hate seeing the DX reunion every 3-4 months with Micheals and HHH, if were gonna have anymore stables id rather see something new, creating a new DX would be incredibly lazy.

I think he just uses my ideas and adds his own little bit to them most of the time, anytime I read the young one, i tend to end up thinking "iv wrote something extremely similar" then he goes and puts his 2 pence worth in and there ain't no way I'm looking to claim it after it has been LEAKED

aye i remember when i suggested burke leading a stable/team of disgurntled stars then rock or leak (probably leak) took it as fact and extended it into somthing bigger lol
writers aint got a chance at thinking of that cos its logical and would utilize talent so... lol

and i doubt HHH would want a dx rip off running about.

I agree stables do make it. The days when it was ECW/WCW vs WWE. That was a fun era with shane and stephanie vs Vince.
