Cena's about to get a changed gimmick

You like him or not and we've heard about every meaning.
Let's talk about how to change the gimmick.

The rumours say, they'll stop to show him as a true face-char. The fans are devided, so there's no reason to keep the babyface. The plans within the last years were, to create a star, like Austin, the Rock and Hogan were, a undisputed face.
Cause of the Merch he won't become heelish, but the boking team wants to build up the walls between those, who love and those who hate him.
Let's hope, this will mean the end of storylines, like that with JBL the last month.

Its probably gonna be about 9 months before he comes back so ill have forgotten about him by then but isnt this what weve been waiting for? Get rid of the kiss arse, gimmickless, crap promos and almost crying when he gets bood Cena and have a guy that is gonna say crap instead of poopy, have a go at humor and cheat a little bit.
Cant be a bad idea if you ask me although hell need to get his promoing up to scratch as they have been painful to watch as of late.

I don't think this rumour is true but I hope it is. I don't mind Cena being a face as long as he has an edge/attitude about him eg insulting the heels with proper swearwords in his promos. He should have called JBL a cunt instead of writing poopy on his limo.

I would prefer him to be a heel though and rap occassionally. Some of his raps were gold. It would be good if he returned and took out Batista for injuring him. This would turn Cena heel and the reason being that the fans didn't care about him while he was injured and if the fans don't care about Cena, Cena doesn't care about them or something along those lines.

Looking back on Poopygate I think it's genius.
I reckon it was a joke on itself. Cena mocking himself as he knows his target audience are barely out of nappies. HHH a few weeks earlier while still on RAW mocked Cena for his fanbase. I think it was purely an injoke on that.
Cena as a babyface doesnt annoy me, I think he gets a lot more stick than he deserves. The problem was the poor booking during his title reign, the overuse of monster heels that would wipe the floor with him week in week out before he went all Superman on them in the PPVs.
Give me Cena anyday of the week over Batista.

Just to let you know, I used cunt as a example. Cena could call people asses and it would be better than "poopy".

"Poopy" could have been an injoke but I don't think WWE are smart enough to book something like that unless Cena was allowed to write what he wanted on JBL's limo.

Well if it was an "in joke" macc it's one that went badly wrong, because iv seen not just myself but plenty of other people who respected the guy turn to full hate.

Fact is people can try and come up with any reason or excuse they like for it/him, but Cena is as lame as things come right now, and I for one wouldn't even blink if he was dropped on his head and crippled for life.

I really think that if he changed his gimmick......it would still br lame if not lamer than the rapper gimmick. He just is a crappy wrestler....thats the truth. He seems like maybe an ok guy be he shouldnt be in the wwe

I think they just need to tone down his current gimmick. Less saluts and things like that and a bit more I'm the best but in a face way.

He's brilliant on the mic when he is given the right words to say, so I think its up to the creative team now to give him something to work with and stop the hate bandwaggon.
