| - After learning there would be no trip to Iraq this year, there was big relief among the wrestlers at last night’s SmackDown taping. The superstars are fine with the actual work required, however it is the constant flying on the cargo plane which proves a struggle. There has been talks of a domestic Tribute to the Troops show, which WWE and USO are in discussions about.
- WWE are planning to add a bit more of an ‘entertainment’ aspect to SmackDown after it’s move to Syfy. The company feel this will help the show get back to the “same level” as RAW.

So Smackdown is going to be awful soon then?

| If not a fan of it becoming a carbon copy of RAW, but they really need to do something about Smackdown because it is utterly boring and a struggle to watch as a result. | |

Like when ECW started on that channel? Hopefully we'll get the long awaited return of The Zombie!

| There were two bits on Smackdown that did genuinely make me laugh - The Swagger Soaring Eagle was great, and the chihuahua in the Mysterio mask.
Two more laughs than Raw has managed since...?

Two more laughs than Raw has managed since...? They both made me laugh like but that was a bad episode of smackdown, however generally speaking, Michael Hayes deserves plaudits in my opinion because he has had naff all to work with resource-wise as hes got a really quite poor roster but normally I think its a better show than RAW

| Was it only a bad episode because Raw dominated it, though? The only Smackdown guys that made any kind of impression were Kane and Undertaker - Dolph and MVP barely had any time to do anything, Big Show was only there to promote Nexus and make them seem dangerous before Sunday, Del Rio should have had a match, Cody was needlessly jobbed to Orton (surely someone like Chris Masters could have been sacrificed, rather than a guy who's been pushed? Even if Sheamus and Drew both interfered to get Cody the win, I'd much rather that than what happened). | |

Exactly, its rediculous how weak the tag champs were made to look in that match. And how weak Swagger is made to look, I thought they were really going to push him after he lost the title and started being more aggressive and using the ankle lock, but he's done fuck all

I agree. It needs to have a different style from RAW (which is lucky to have one decent match a week) but it also wouldn't hurt to add a few more RAW style promos (contract signings and the like). I think this week's SmackDown got the balance about right. Yes, Big Show vs the Nexus and Kane vs Cena weren't classics but at least they had a point to them, unlike RAW where Mark Henry and Evan Bourne are jobbed out to a different guy every other week.
