Kennedy on the way out?

There are some rumors going around that WWE could release Mr. Kennedy once his current contract expires. A source close to Kennedy believes there is something to the speculation. Kennedy is said to have lost his confidence as he is constantly being pulled in different directions by various officials. This has caused him to second guess himself. Kennedy will be out four to six months following shoulder surgery. I'm also told that WWE officials haven't been fond of all his recent injuries as of late. He had problems back on the indy scene with injuries as well.

He's incredibly unreliable with injuries and drugs so what does he expect, he deserves to be fired, he's selfish, arrogant and believes he should be in the main event before people who have bided their time.

Personally I'm a Kennedy fan and apart from his ban he had a real bad run of luck a year ago when he was due a major push. Expecting to see on the Impact Zone by early next year then.

well he doesnt have stability one week hes getting pushd next week hes a nobody or injured i think its bad for him but he will not get his contract renewed and i dont think tna would suit him

i think it's probably Cena that has caused this, new guys are expecting a giant push as soon as they join, and thats not how it works, TNA shouldn't pick up Kennedy, doesn't have anything that sets him apart.

Average wrestling skills.
Average to good mic skills.
Doesn't take bumps.

Has no real pull factor.

I've always said he has a certain aura about him that hints of potential greatness but its never blossomed unfortunately.

who was it that siad he could play a SCSA role? cause thier right it might be the right push he needs to greatness

I think his mic skills vary, sometimes they can be good and I think; wow this guy is great, and sometimes the're average. He has the potential, but his injury record suggests he won't make it.

I had previously mentioned his similarity to Austin about 2 months ago on one of Gaffer's articles and I believe he could have that approach if done correctly.

Average in the ring, nothing special, if he thinks he should be at the top let him work for it like everyone else has to.

yeah...its been since 2005 that i thought he had some real big time potential. altho....after waiting 3 years now.....its gettin dull seein him sailing in every possible direction but the way people want. maybe he'll get one last chance? altho right now.....i can say the same thing about quite a few wwe superstars.

While I am no fan of Mr Kennedy what so ever and never really have been I think its madness to suggest that someone deserves to be fired simply for being injury prone!

Where have you got this from?

Try to remain objective, its alright not liking someone, I don't like him, however there is no need to make up stories just to try and justify your opinion!

I'm sure I read somewhere on here or on another board how he was annoyed that he hadn't been pushed yet... I might be wrong.

I didn't mean he should be fired because he's injury what I meant more was if he wants to leave just let him 'cos he's not worth the hassle.

I noticed the similarities with Austin about a year ago, however I have since realised that I don't think those similarities are natural, I think they have been incorporated into the Kennedy character and I think thats a main reason why he will never manage to succeed the great man himself!

He needs to find his own niche if he wants to succeed with that type of character, as for TNA, they already have a Stone Cold rip off, heading to TNA might help him find his level though, plenty of time off to help recover from injuries and a chance to show-case any talent he might have, or they could go down the political rout and push him to the stars to simply get one up on WWE

I haven't read anything suggesting that, I couldn't even say if it would surprise me because I don't know Ken Anderson to suggest thats his kind of attitude

I'm pretty sure I've read something to that effect this year.

Like I said, I haven't and pretty sure I would have noticed it, particularly in the last year when I have taken my dislike for the guys in ring product to new levels so i'll pass on that suggestion for now!

Yeah i read it on Lords of Pain a while back, but it wasnt him being cocky it was him being annoyed that he had an injury when he was about to get a push and then when he got fit again WWE didnt resume the push and left him out.

Yea thats not really what we are on about though, he has a case from that point of view but then he went and messed it up with the steroids ban he received!

At that point in time despite not liking him you could tell he was hot in the WWE!

I could see him being annoyed at lack of direction for his character as of late, but that should be down to him, he has offered nothing new or different for a while!

Kennedy reminds me of Carlito more and more. There were similar things said about them both when they debuted regarding their status as Future of the Business, and how it never happened and, from what I can assume, never will happen.

Now it is said that Carlito has a motivational problem, and Kennedy seems to steer into the same direction. On the one hand it is understandable that they both are frustrated about the progress of their careers. After all, they were hyped to be somewhat of the next Rock or Stone cold, respectively.

On the other hand Carlito has had many main event opportunities, and he has been involved in many feuds with main event people like Cena and Triple H, so maybe him not being able to stay there might not be WWE booking's fault.
And Kennedy was supposed to be a part of grand things, like the McMahons Son angle, but he screwed himself out of that.

I think it is understandable that now the WWE wants to take a step back. Either Kennedy will be a big star, or he wont. If he will be, it wont hurt him to amble around in midcard for a while. Every superstar has done that. If he wont be it will be better for him to leave, because quite frankly, he takes up space that could be used better.
