Is there a line people shouldnt cross

That sort of thing is fair play because it's done pretty light heartedly but there's some issues that don't belong in a wrestling ring. Like the Kane/Lita abortion angle. That is a truly sick thing to use for such basic entertainment and was too far.

Why though Disco, its a common story line that people can and do have to deal with in every day life and its also been highlighted on every kind of drama be it soap comedy or general entertainment show that has had such a prolonged career at some stage or another

Because I don't think WWE took it seriously or sensitively enough. It did nothing to address the issue or the (true) pain and suffering involved in something like that. It was done for shock value only IMO and done in a very cheap way like every other silly mid card angle.

I Kinda agree with disco, I'm all for controversy(no shit I hear you cry), but things abortion/miscarriage should stay off something I only watch to be entertained, for stuff like that I would watch a soap.

Maybe we like controversy, until it hits close to the bone with us on a personal level.

That, right there, is what I meant with professional. I like both Kane and Lita, but that abortion storyline was handled rather tasteless and lacked any style. Of course that could've been Snitsky's fault, punting baby dolls into the audience and all that.


I remember reading about the fuss that was caused by the announcement that the WWE wanted to introduce a mentally disabled character. Everybody was very wary about it, because they couldn't believe a company that did things like the Katie Vick angle could handle such a storyline in a way that was not totally revolting.
That said, I think Eugene turned out rather nicely. Of course he is gone now, but that is among the things that I find so nice about him.

Randy himself talked about how uncomfortable he was doing that, it was only after he got the go ahead from Vickie that he decided to do and say what he did.

This whole Eddie thing is a bit strange. I did not think using him in storylines after his death was all that shocking. He was working in the business, and probably would have liked that he can contribute to it even after he has passed away.

That, and I think Eddie would be proud of his wife for the amount of heat she gets.
