| Madrid wanted Hernandez in part ex for Ronaldo, but not sure on the Nike thing. Either way United will get him for less than they sold him for. I'd prefer if Bale went to Utd, as he'd have something to prove and it would keep him in the premier league. | |

| I think Utd board will demand top 4 finish rather than the championship next season and build from there for moyes.
Can't see Bale at city. If he doesn't join Utd he'll stay at spurs. Also, Rooney won't leave unless ronaldo joins. Can't see him going to Munich though Hodge, they have just signed a couple of Dortmund players who play in his position.
I can see then signing another striker. RVP won't be there for ever. He's 30+ now.
Regarding Everton job, Martinez isn't the answer. He turned down villa. O'neill isn't the answer either. You want to pray that it isn't Hughes. My guess would be the Neville brothers. Gary doing his badges. I no phil said he says he's leaving end of season but he might stay. Also Jamie carragher is joining sky so Gary won't be flavour of the month.

| Phil is joining Utd with Moyes, and Gary has a decent job, getting paid loads to sit on his arse and watch football. | |

| I didn't say Munich, I said Madrid or Barca for Rooney, can't see him being in the Barca mould though. Like I said Solskjaer for Everton However another one being touted by the media is Malky MacKay for Everton | |

| Be top notch if it was Slaven Bilic, name always gets banded around and he's already taken millions of pounds from Everton before | |

| I don't know why Martinez is so highly rated, all he does with Wigan is just about survive each season, and this time it looks like his luck is running out.
If Rooney leaves United, it won't be to one of the European big guns - if anywhere, he'll go to Italy. He's never really become the player he should be, as weird as that sounds. At Euro 2004, he looked utterly unstoppable, but he's never moved on from that. He's still a damned good player, but he seems to get over-shadowed at United, by Ronaldo, then RVP this season. the one season he was the main man, United didn't win anything. Coincidence?

I've been suicidal Mack, thought it couldn't get worse after JLS splitting up and now this happens. Been on holiday pal and didn't have access to a half decent internet connection. But seriously, I'm happy with the appointment. The announcement came as a shock to me on Wednesday, I always knew it would happen sooner or later but didn't think it would happen this season, thought if we won the European Cup one more time then he would retire. As for Moyes, I think it's a good decision, apparently he's Ferguson's hand picked choice so I trust his decision and he's moving upstairs so he'll still be there to give a guiding hand if times get tough which they will. I wouldn't have minded Mourinho but to me I think he only stays around for 3-4 years to satisfy himself and then he fucks off. At United I want longevity and I feel that's what David Moyes will give us. As for possible transfers, I'd like Baines and Fellaini, mainly because Baines would provide competition for Evra who for me, has had a decent season for us, much improved performances from his last two which were poor. Fellaini would be a good signing because it would add some physical strength to our midfield which has been lacking for a while now because we struggle against strong midfielders like Yaya Toure and Ramires. As for Rooney, if he wants to go let him go, been shite 1-2 years now, slow and off the pace, needs some fucking fitness along with Anderson.

Moyes wont come in and make a load of changes. I think we have to remember that Ferguson is still at the club. I dont care what anyone sys, Ferguson will still have an imput.

As for Moyes, I agree that's why he's been appointed, Ferguson will stick around for 1-2 years and provide a helping hand and when Moyes gets into the swing of things it will be fine.

I'm trying to man up and not cry, but... but... it's tough, you know? You think you're over something, and then you see a picture of Geri, and it brings back all the pain... Still, could be worse. It could be Mel C that makes me sob like a toddler.

| I know Man Utd are following the Crewe mould, in terms of a manager moving upstairs, hand picking a replacement etc. But you will no doubt see Moyes fail, end up at Chelsea, then try an Icelandic maniac to try and save you from relegation (from the top 4). Fail. Then Fergie will come back, not quite re capture his old ways, then hand the role on to an ex player and he'll sort you out and win a cup.
give or take the Icelandic part and something similar could happen.
