Wade Barrett The Reason MITB Was Cancelled

Wade Barrett will be out of action for 3-4 months and will miss WrestleMania 28. Barrett underwent surgery on his dislocated elbow earlier this week and the injury is said to be far worse than originally expected.

Barrett's injury has caused major changes to WrestleMania 28 as the plan was to have Barrett win the Money in the Bank ladder match and carry the briefcase. WWE decided this week to pull the Money in the Bank match from WrestleMania 28 due to Barrett's injury.

Barrett wrote earlier this week that he would be off Twitter for a few months and the injury is why.

If back in time by the MITB PPV surly he will win it but i can see him being the first not to win when they cash it in.

It would be stupid for him to win it now surely. WWE pulling MITB from WM because of him injured. He'll be the obvious winner when he comes back.

So true. A lot of people were sure that Daniel Bryan would never be allowed to win when he cashed in but, to their credit, WWE gave him the belt and I think he's really worked well as champion.

Given that they were willing to scrap the entire match because he was injured means that they must have some pretty big pans for Barrett otherwise they'd have let someone else win at Mania.

Unless there's no one else in the WWE that they would consider letting win the briefcase and not let win the title by cashing in.
