RAW star under consideration for WWE Title match at Wrestlemania

The Pro Wrestling Torch reports that CM Punk is in "top consideration" for the WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania XXVIII since company officials are leaning against the title being on the line in the match pitting John Cena against The Rock.

The heavily hyped bout is not expected to be for the title because WWE brass feel the finish would be too obvious since fans don't expect The Rock to leave WrestleMania as champion.

Cena will reportedly be removed from the title picture following Sunday's Vengeance pay-per-view, which would indicate that Alberto Del Rio will retain the title in their Last Standing Match. Cena will begin building towards his partnership with The Rock at Survivor Series while Del Rio is expected to enter a program with Punk.

I read a couple of months ago he was still getting a push it was either him carrying the title into Wrestlemania or him winning it at Wrestlemania so i think its always punk in the title frame for Wrestlemania

They wont do Punk Vs Del Rio for winter fued/Wrestlemania so Del Rio would have to lose the title, would i be the only one who could see Ziggler winning the WWE title before wrestlemania? TLC - Wrestlemania title reign in a fued vs Punk... not a bad WM fued I would reckon

We've still got to see how this Punk/HHH vs Miz/Truth/and probably Laurinaitis, story pans out. Could be a rematch of Punk vs HHH, a match between two guys who some people thought would never wrestle for a world title at WrestleMania in Punk vs Miz or something entirely different.

Id like to see Ziggler vs Punk for the title but Ziggler would have to drop the US title and then be majorly pushed from now till Mania to be in consideration for a main event match.

Punk vs Orton. Surely can't keep your two best split between brands

I think Ziggler would be ready now, to be honest. He's already had that feud with Edge over the WHC, so it isn't completely new for either him or the fans, for him to be in the main event and he's improved since then.

I'd have Ziggler drop the title to a random face, then have Swagger (who really needs a major push) win back the US title for Vickie's stable.

If the Undertaker comes back, on top of Rock/Cena that means two matches are gonna be bigger than the Championship matches no?
