My brothers got an Xbox 360 and he said Xbox live is the best console for playing online (i've heard this from alot of Xbox360 fans aswell).

So can someone tell me why that is as the response I keep getting when I ask them is “hard to explain, you got to play on Xbox live to understand”?

The best thread ever made in the gaming forum.

To me it's the best because from June last year when I started playing on-line, I have had no problems with it whatsoever.

I think with particular games like Call of Duty, you get map packs and game add-ons first because Microsoft have some sort of deal to get them first.

You always here that from xbox owners as a way to justify spending money on it, when really playstation network is just as good.

Not only did they profess to know about the issue but they’re apparently already working on making it right for their customers that have experienced problems. If you’re one of the few that has been affected by this issue, you can call up Microsoft and have them replace your console with a new one at no charge. Not only that, but they apparently have a way of detecting this issue over Xbox Live and have started reaching out to those inconvenienced by this error to get the ball rolling on a replacement.

Good to see them handling the situation the right way.

There's going to be a new patch for the xbox which will allow:

PayPal to be used on the xbox

A new feature which allows the owner to choose whether or not after an hour of inactivity, there xbox switches off and goes into a sleep mode.
