WWE Surprised by Fan Reaction to Orton

The IWC have been wanting the strap put on Christian for a good few years now, take that away after a couple of day's and there is going to put a couple of pissed of people.

Okay so I may have made sound more redneck, but you get my point as it comes across as Vince trying to force Orton on fans and is not happy because people cheer/support Christian with out Vince and the script writers build up.

I think the plan was to turn Christian heel but I dont think now is the right time to do it imo

I was thinking that too Waffles as I found it odd that the fans clapped during Christan exiting the ring on Smackdown only for it to be quiet as though it's been editted or muted (even commentry was quiet), plus he didn't look at the fans once on his way out.

I thought he was selling the shock of losing the world title, having spent years trying to win the thing. It wouldn't have worked, with him leaving the ring high-fiving and playing up to the fans.

Agree he shouldn't turn heel though. I'd rather Orton turned and became a kick-ass heel, as opposed to the standard chickenshit heel all WWE heels are booked to be at the moment.

yeah i would rather it be Orton the one who turned, saying how he doesn't give a crap who he beat for the belt or how long they had been trying to win it for, have him put Christian down by saying stuff like, maybe your not up to this level etc, then draw out a summer fued finishing at Summerslam, have Christian asking Orton for 1 last title match, Orton refuses then Christian puts down the stipulation that he will leave the WWE if he were to lose to Orton again at Summerslam and Orton can choose the stipulation for it.

I think this would make the outcome so unpredictable as for the IWC there have been rumours that Christian will follow Edge out of the WWE so it would be hard to judge, then Christian can have a nice long title reign till the new year at least i would say, fueding with the likes of Jericho and Cody Rhodes.

Didn't Matt Hardy say in one of those rants he did to try and get fired that he wanted out, and Christian would have followed if he could?
