Fill me in?

Hey guys, not had any internet access for a few months so not been able to follow wrestling during that time. Anybody able to fill me in on what's been happening of late in TNA, is it still shit and is WWE still not really trying? Or have things actually improved?

I can tell you a big about WWE.

Miz has become WWE World Champion, but isn't being booked brilliantly, he only just beat Jerry Lawler (yes Jerry 'The King' Lawler) in a ladder match on the Raw after he won it. He is now going to defend against Lawler at Elimination Chamber, and then the Chamber match will detirmine who faces the WWE Champion at 'Mania.

Edge is World Heavyweight Champion and if he can win Chamber, he will go on to face Alberto Del Rio who won the Rumble.

The Nexus split up, CM Punk now leads Husky Harris, Michael McGillycutty and David Otunga and a new guy called Mason Ryan on Raw, they're being booked slightly better than the first time around. Wade Barret leads a group called The Corre on Smackdown which is made up of Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Ezekiel, they're just sort of there really, I wouldn't say they're brilliant or bad.

Triple H hasn't returned yet, and seems to be taking a more backstage role these days.

Undertaker has been out since Nexus attacked him, although there are some hints being played out on Raw for a date, I think it's 21st of the something which seems 99% to point to 'Taker even if some people said it was Sting.

Also Bieber is being rumored to sing at Wrestlemania, which I'm sure makes you very happy.

And Daniel Bryan's shagging Gail Kim

What is it with WWE and rushing guys into the main event scene lately? I mean Del Rio has only been on tv for what, six months or something like that? Crazy.

Not too fussed about Miz being booked like a joke, he had improved but not to the point where he was main event calibre in my eyes. Even still, putting Jerry Lawler in main events is utter madness!

Doesn't sound like I've missed much of worth in WWE, probably wont even bother to start watching it again then, unless I'm really fucking bored.

the rumour behind the King title match is that Cole will again cost him the title and then King will face Cole or a wrestler of Cole's choice at Mania to give King his Wrestlemania match. Could also spell the end of King in WWE with Booker T taking over commentary on SD replacing Matt Striker who could move to Raw if King were to be leaving after mania.

2 other storylines heading to WM seem to be

punk/nexus vs orton - after they cost orton the title match at the rumble and punk saying its his revenge for when orton punted him out of the scramble PPV a couple of years ago

cody vs rey - rey hit cody with the 619 with his knee guard exposed causing cody to have "facial reconstructive surgery" which put him out of the rumble

and supposedly a done deal according to one website

Spoiler:

austin and booker are both gonna be on the new series of tough enough, austin as the host and booker as a trainer

and lastly, theres gonna be a guest host for WM

Oh for fuck sake! They're actually gonna do with that guest host crap at Mania? Oh well, at least if that spoiler is true than there'll be one good match at Mania. Not enough to make me watch the PPV, but should be worth checking out that match.

I'm ok with the likes of Del Rio being pushed, he's a decent enough wrestler to put on a good match. It's when they bring back the old guys like Jerry Lawler to the main event scene what I don't like. It's people like him that aren't giving the younger chaps a chance.

Regarding TNA, I think it has improved quite a bit. The upcoming PPV will be a good card (I havent seen this weeks impact as I wait for it being on TV - and I dont read Spoilers). Mr Anderson is the champion with a Shitty Jeff Hardy face design belt.

Thought they were giving him a new one a couple of weeks ago awell.

Hopefully that belt doesn't end up like the WWE title and remain looking like a cheap ass piece of shit forever, no matter who is holding it.

And I don't have a problem with Del Rio being pushed, he is a good solid wrestler, but it just seems like they're pushing him too much too soon. My mentality is that a guy has to have been there almost 2 years before I'd even conside putting him in main event matches, but then maybe that's just my old school way of thinking, doesn't seem like anyone operates like that anymore.

It does seem strange that King is getting this form of push if it isn't a way of WWE saying thanks.
