The PlayStation Phone Is Go

Looking virtually identical to a PSP Go, the PlayStation Phone is said to be likely to have Android 3.0 (aka Gingerbread) alongside PlayStation Store functionality tailored specifically for the device, enabling you to download games directly to it without the need for UMDs, also like the PSP Go.

For the techies among you, The PlayStation Phone is said to have a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 chip, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the touch screen measures between 3.7 and 4.1 inches. There might not be a visible Memory Stick slot on the phone, but it's said not to support microSD cards.

According to Engadget, the model pictured is still a prototype, but they say you'll be able to get your hands on the real thing either later this year or in early 2011.

Wonder what the price for that would be?

According to Games Master magazine this is not the PSP2 and is just some phone that plays PSP games via download.

Also according to the same magazine, the PSP2 is set for 2012 and will have the process power of Xbox 360, 1GB of RAM, HD Display, a touchscreen on the rear side and no UMD drive... sounds too good to be true if you ask me.

That being said, i'm glad Sony are stepping up there game considering the PSP is losing to the DS (even though PSP has more power, more features, etc...) and with the 3DS coming out in a few months time, Sony need to come up with something.

its a little like a vamped up nokia N-Gage, i think it looks fairly cool and the gaming power will be far superior to an iphone, the only thing is it will cost an absolute bomb
