| -- According to a source, Sting is "expected to be gone" from TNA Wrestling following this week's set of television tapings, which were completed yesterday in Orlando, Florida.
The multi-time champion is limited by an injury to his shoulder and has not signed a new contract, so he's only committed to the organization until the end of the year. There was talk this week that he would be taking time off from this point forward.

| Well hopefully this is a sign that he's looking to retire at the end of this year. Always loved Sting's work, but his matches have become difficult to watch for over a year now. Nbody really gets a good match out of him now, so I'm hoping he has a retirement match with Flair for nostalgia reasons. | |

I'd hate that; neither are really capable of performing at the level they used to and it'd just crap all over what they used to do. For someone like Sting, I'd give the retirement honours to AJ Styles, someone who would be able to use it and give him a boost. Flair wouldn't gain anything from doing it (apart from rubbing his ego, of course).

Normally I'd agree with you 100%, but it's gotten to the stage where I don't trust TNA to actually push one of their own guys for more than a couple of months, so it'd end up wasted anyway. I'd actually think Flair would possibly be one of the better chances for getting a decent match out of him, because of the chemistry they have. Plus, they might manage to draw in a few extra PPV buys because of the nostalgia factor.

I always remember that match as Ric Flair cut a promo after it saying that he'll never work for Vince Mcmahon ever again... then a few months later he joined WWE
