TNA set to sign Mickie James

According to a source, TNA has either signed or is very close to signing former WWE Women's and Divas Champion Mickie James.

James recently polled her fans on Facebook and Twitter asking if she should join TNA and most of them said yes.

The women's division in TNA is as bad as WWE now, adding Mickie James isn't going to change that. Used to be I'd actually watch the Knockouts matches but they've totally fucked the division up meaning that I'll watch the Beautiful People's entrance and then go do something else for 5 minutes.

They scaled the diviosn down drastically though didnt they?

They released the likes of Roxxi etc, havent seen Hamada etc in a while ( albeit I havent watched the KO's in about 3 months)

Yeah basically the BP, Madison Rayne and Tara are the division now, with others like Hamada, Taykor Wilde etc only making the occassional appearance. it was going downhill before that though, pretty much as soon as they took Scott D'Amore away from booking the division it got gradually shitter. You'd think they'd have learnt after the X-division faded once D'Amore was no longer in control of it, but Russo felt the need to have control over any areas of the company that were actually popular.

lol it was only the other week is posted she was done with wrestling & if your not TBP or Rayne And tara then you dont have a chance on the normal show as the womens divison is baised all around that lately

Whilst agree with you Bosch lets not forget that Mickey James is a former big name WWE diva, so I wouldn't be suprised if she comes straight in and wins the title.

Mickey at one point was actually decent in the ring so it could be good for TNA if she could get back to that.

If I was TNA I'd probably just scrap the womens division now to be honest. I'd keep the BP around and just have them as valets for somebody so you still get that entrance.

think they realised the division filled up too much time, they used to have two matches per week and with the influx of new guys they want to push it wont all fit in.

they probably still have the other ones on xplosion or whatever the fuck it is? like with the lesser tag teams.

What I don't understand about Mickey is that she's still called Mickey James in TNA as I thought WWE would have copyrighted the name and she would have to use her old TNA name Alexis Laree.

I was thinking that, but maybe they couldnt be bothered copyrighting her name.

It's her real name, I think, so WWE can't copyright it.
