Major Star wants to Break Undertakers Wrestlemania Streak

-- In an interview with Moviefone.com to promote his new movie "Legendary," RAW superstar John Cena commented on a potential showdown with The Undertaker at WrestleMania next year. Moviefone asked Cena in an interview, "What's the next challenge for you: winning an Oscar or trying to end the Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak?" Cena said he wants to challenge the Undertaker at WrestleMania and be the man to end the infamous streak. Cena was asked about Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's success in Hollywood and whether we'd ever see him back in WWE. "I think Dwayne has done such an awesome job being a successful actor," Cena said. "The only problem is he left us; he's no longer doing activity with WWE. I think the way WWE Studios is going now - they're going away from action, doing more drama, possibly more comedy - it will open a lot of people's eyes. Because a lot of people see big guy, big frame: action superstar. We've proven, especially with 'Legendary,' that that is not always the case."

why am i not shocked its Cena & i think he'll do it

With the question asked you can't blame cena for saying he want's to go for the undertakers streak,It is the one thing in wrestling more prestige's than a title win at the moment.
If the question was asked to any wrestler i would imagine them to answer the same way.

I really dont get why everyone will think Cena would end it. No way will Undertaker ever lose at Wrestlemania.

Didn't Orton get offered the streak for WM21 but turned it down?

If so shows it gets offered so its not out of the question him losing

The only guy Taker would lose to was Orton due to the legend killer gimmick that year.
I just don't see anyone breaking the streak. I don't hate Cena but if by some miracle this did happen and he broke the streak, I would question whether I'd watch WWE again. I certainly wouldnt watch it to the same extent as I do now.

There are only 2 people in WWE who I can see breaking the streak, Cena or Triple H.

If either of them do it, it's an immediate heel turn...

Can you imagine the fury over the internet if Trips was the man to do it?

Personally I would like to see Kane end the Undertakers streak as he's already had 2 attempts at it, so 3rd time lucky?

He's due to retire, so his streak will end soon as WWE will not let him leave WWE with his streak intact, but if they are going to end his streak then anyone, but John Cena please (seriously I would rather see Hornswaggle than Cena end his streak).

I think they might let him leave with his streak intact to be honest. He has been a loyal servant to the WWE, worked for them for around 20 years and is probably the most all round respected wrestler they've ever had and has gotten better with age, so I think WWE as a gift to him will let him have the streak as he doesnt have anything else that makes his career stand like for example Ric Flair 16x Champion, HBK, first ever grand slam champion, Jericho, first ever Undisputed champion etc.

Why wouldn't they keep Taker's streak intact, DVD for Wrestlemania undefeated streak £££

Don't think Taker would bow down for Triple H at Mania

The only two guys I can see doing it would be Cena or Orton

I think if cena got the match the internet would go crazy and also it would keep it interesting, as people would think he might end the streak.

why bother having him face someone you KNOW will not take it...

cena would be ideal for a match as it would cause so much debate on if he will win or lose.

think the main question also that revolves around this is how long can Taker keep going for at Mania?

with these 4 having not faced Taker yet at Mania would they go back to someone like Orton or Triple H to face Taker at Wrestlemania again

Why not, Punk, Jericho and Cena as well as Sheamus (who was the WWE Champ at the time) all hadn't faced Taker this year yet he had a match with Shawn Michaels only one year after their first match

well i definitly see WWE wanting Taker Vs Cena for Taker's 20th match at mania, think you pointed it out on 606 that WWE could use Sheamus' attempting to take out Undertaker as a continuation of taking out Triple H attempting to take out larger names in the company. That's 2 Wrestlemania's down, how many more can Taker do as i think here will also be a match with Jericho in the future too, Jericho can list off his accomplishments and say he will feel he has never truely succeded in the WWE until he beats Taker at Wrestlemania and become the 1st man to do it, proving that he truely is the best in the world at what he does.

HBK Vs Taker was pencilled in because it was the 25th anniveriry and it was in Texas so they wanted them to face off there with both being from Texas. 26 came about because HBK had told Vince that he wanted his last match to be against Taker and it had been put in place from before WM25.

Like i said depends how long Taker caan keep going

That just sounds like Dirt Sheet BS to be honest, from what I read Shawn Michaels didn't want the re-match with The Undertaker and thats why he decided to call it a day for good when he did

i have no idea who the writer of the article was as their are a few people who do them, it was also the only article i had read on the subject tbh

The 'story' came from Ryan Clarke who is essentially just a fan like me and you with a website, most of his stuff comes from other websites and when its a slow news day he puts out 'exclusives' like this then when he gets called on his BS he always puts a disclaimer on the website saying "We never reported it on the website!" ermm yeah you did Ryan thats why someone is saying its BS

He is basically Wrestlings equivalent to Adrian Durham
