Exeter striker, legend.

Died last night of bowel cancer at the age of 31. He was taken to hospital in March with stomach pains, and was diagnosed as having cancer in April. He seemed to be recovering, and was training with the first team squad as recently as 3 weeks ago.

He leaves a wife, 4 young kids (youngest isn't a year old yet).

Absolutely gutted.

Real shame.

Never heard of him but its tragic anyone leaving behind young kids

I heard it announced on Sky Sports last night,Like Gaffer says it is always saddening when young children are left behind.

Condolences to his family.

He was a real local boy, came up through our ranks and was in the reserves at 17. Then he broke his leg badly, and we released him.

He played local Sunday league football and worked in an abattoir, until Yeovil picked him up. He won the Conference with them, then moved to Hereford and won the Conference with them, and signed for us in 2006. He played in both play-off finals at Wembley, one of those players who just never stopped running. He was always the guy who went to local schools and gave out the awards, did a lot for charity.

Just an absolute shocker.

Shame really to leave behind 4 children and a wife. My condolences go to his family and friends.
