Nani is growing on me, the last half of last season he was def showing signs of improvement and most importantly consistancy. Yes he's a poor man's Ronaldo but who isn't?
I agree he was showing signs of improvement, but never when it matters.
The problem I have with him is not because he isn't as good as Ronaldo, because like you say, who is?. My problem is he was trying to actually BE Ronaldo, something he will never come close to being.

I prefer Valencia to Nani,A much better player imo.
Agree on Phil Neville being under-rated,Not sure on Gary Neville being under-rated as he's always got the plaudits instead of his brother.

That's not saying much though considering Phil hardly ever gets any from fans outside of the club he is playing for. I mean underrated in general by all football fans.
and since we are talking right-backs, Glen Johnson is vastly overrated.

I thought Zamora was top class when he burst onto the scene, we where on a stag do in Brighton about 8 years ago and most of the older guys wanted to take in a game on the Saturday afternoon so I went with them since I could barely handle another beer after the session we had the night before, so we went to Brighton vs Macclesfield and Zamora was playing , first time I saw or heard of him, just remember this big lump of a lad who managed to score a hat trick, he was by far the best player on the pitch and you could tell he was destined to play at a much higher level, I think it was Division 3 at the time.
Anyway, after that he made me tons of money the next season because as soon as I got my wages I used to go to the bookies and bet £10 he would score at anytime in the game, he managed to score in 27 different games, he was always around 3/1 sometimes higher if it was a difficult away game, I made a ton of money off him over the season, I remember going in to get my money back a fair few weeks as well if he didn't play or he was a sub before the first goal went in
He had some record at Brighton and got them promoted to the Championship, they where going nowhere at the wrong end of Division 3 when he first went there, just looked up his record, he scored 83 goals in 136 games, I remember being gutted when Spurs signed him in 2003 because Hartson was getting more injuries, Sutton was suspended for the first 5 league games and it was going into Larsson's last season with us, I thought he'd have been a brilliant signing.
Spurs where definitely the wrong move for him though, he done alright at West Ham, nothing great but his first two seasons in the Premiership with West Ham he done well enough, went MIA for two years though and was a big surprise that he managed to get back into the swing of it, I would be a bit weary of him if my team signed him now but he definitely was someone who I always thought could have been a good striker
the only time hes been good enough he's gotten injured. before that he was not in any sort of form anyway near worthy of call up or on any radar of potentially one day finding that form.

One season wonder and the rest average IMO, the fact he is even mentioned around the England team says it all about the national side.

As has been said Zamora had one decent season last year, the year before that he scored two goals.
I'm all for picking players on form but surely that form has to be more sustained for him to be considered good enough to play for England in front of Jermain Defoe,Peter Crouch,Darrent Bent and maybe even Walcott up front?(I've excluded Rooney as he's a definite even when playing shit!)
