ok so how bout a booking article.
Booking Popes return to TNA...
I think this is going to be a big return.
He's been out for ages and the crowds down in TNA Towers love the guy which is a far cry from his days down in the WWE Universe.
I want his return to be booked against AJ.
It was the match at Lockdown where Pope got injured against AJ.
He would come back and this would be his revenge.
Say he was to come back next week on iMPACT.
Lights hit music, pyro go and camera pans to Tenay and Tazz who are introducing this weeks impact.
They are interupted by "Fortunes" music hitting and out come Flair and his group.
They slowly make their way into the ring hurling the usual abuse at the fans.
Then just as Flair starts to speak money rains down ala Pope.
But he doesnt come out...
Flair gets angry but no Pope. He doest come out even after Flair calling him out.
This goes on for a couple of weeks Flair getting more and more annoyed until a few weeks in Pope finally walks out to a massive pop from the crowd.
He stands at the top of the ramp and Flair in ring starts shouting abuse at him to come in the ring!
Pope holds back and says "Flair now you hold on hold on, I hear you guys are now called Fortune.."
Flair nods and smiles looking round at his crew.
Pope Well theres no fortune without the Pope. I am the Money of TNA." ... picks a few notes off the ground and flutters them about.
Pope "I've been watching you guys whilst recovering at home the pope likes what he sees"
Flair nodding and smiling some more.
Pope "In fact Pope likes what he see so much that pope thinks he should be involved in Fortune"
Flair "no no you cant be part of Fortune"
Pope "Let me prove it to you, let Pope prove he has what it takes to take the place of AJ styles in Fortune"
Pope "Let me defeat the one man your team cant beat in Jay Lethal"
Flair, starts thinking, looking round, AJ and Kaz not happy, looks around some more and finally says "your..
Hogans musics hits...
Out comes Hogan waving his hand to his ear to a pop from the popes congregation.
Hogan "You know what brother, you dont make the matches round here."
Pope, doesnt look impressed
Hogan "I make the matches Jack but I think I like the way you think. I think the audience brother would love to see Pope vs Lethal"
Crowd goes wild...
Flair looks pleased in the ring...
Hogan "But I think I'll add a little spice to tonights main event by making this a triple threat.
Hogan "AJ Styles, seen as it was in your match with Pope that left him injured and Pope seems to want your job lets see how you fit in all of this"
AJ doesnt look happy, Pope not sure what to think...
Hogans music hits and he exits..
We're back on iMPACT..
All three men in the ring looking at each other...
AJ goes for Lethal and from behind Pope takes out AJ...
Lethal and Pope look at each other smile and start to pound on AJ, goes on for a minute or so until the rest of Fortune arrive to save AJ..
Closely followed by Hogan, RVD, Hardy and Anderson to save Pope and Lethal...
It was a work by Hogan and Lethal..
Later that night a 5 man tag match is set for.
RVD, Hardy, Anderson, Pope, Lethal Vs Fortune (ie AJ, Wolfe, Kaz, Beer Money)
etc.....
